The Tolkien purists will weep bitterly, knowing that this was excised from the film.
It was a very poignant scene from the book. Myself, i was shocked that they cut it in favor of all those needless Gollum scenes.

Well, give PJ credit for trying to film one more of the iconic LotR moments. But he didn't even make an attempt at including Tom Bombadgerdil. :mad:

What did the deleted scene show? I just get a dead link when I try to view it.
It is just to powerful a scene to describe. It has all of the drama, grandeur, and cinematic mastery of the films. It features Aragorn, Gimli, Legolas, Theoden and an unexpected encounter.
