I'm not a mod, and I'm not a prude, but I could have done with a warning and a link before seeing those pics. I've had to stick you on my IL so that I don't have to see that mess again.

Uhm, guys? The title is "Deer hit by plane". Can't get much more of a warning then that, you had to know that it was going to be messy...Though I do agree the shot of the deer was a little over the top, but then again I've seen dead deer in worse shape.
Actually I am surprised that there was that much left of the deer. I take it the deer ran onto the runway as the plane was taxing? I also find it darkly amusing it was a Ministry of Health aircraft.
Given the rarity of images on this board, it simply wasn't expected. The title could have easily been "Deer hit by plane (warning: images)" or the like.Quote:

Having been drafted to help butcher deer and other animals in the past, the images were just mildly repulsive to me. However, I agree with Ineti about a warning in the subject line. I thought it was going to be a news story.

I tend to agree with Ineti and especially Uruz -- Post with discretion. What surprises me was how anyone thought that this had any interest or relevance on this board at all. . . .
About as much relevance as The Terrible Secret of Space or the Hampster Rave did. ;) Of course, having something of a more rural upbringing, my first thought on seeing the second pic was, "Huh, a doe.
