Just wanna say it looks good so far, and I'm glad someone else is doing this :D

Hi !
This looks very interesting.
Thank you very much for the work... and good luck for the rest of your document.

I've just updated the BSR with Combat Traits and Abilities (all 60 pgs of info on them). I apologize for the delay, work got in the way ;) and it took longer than I thought.
As always, please send me your comments, criticisms, and suggestions.

Excellent stuff, Gandalf. I've been thinking about testing out 2300AD with CODA - I just may do it, now! :D
-
Thanks guys :) I will have an update much sooner this time. It will encompass Core Mechanics, Psionics, and Magic and Weapons and Armor to a degree along with some cleanup of previous work.

Wow, I thought I had time when I made my lists for people last year. GandalfofBorg, I salute you. I know what a pain that is to do as I did some myself. This is very useful. I am taking out the LOTR stuff for my game as I am running a Trek game, but keeping in the rules that do matter to my game. You have done everyone here a great favor and I thank you.
Oh yeah, Hi all I am back.
-
Very nice stuff GoB, as with most of your work.
While it stops making it so generic, you could really do with a handful of sample races, allong with a baseline 'human' which is pretty much common throughout most settings :) I guess what you need is to find a set of 'aliens' or 'races' which are not system specific, so you can include them, otherwise it's impossible to actually make any characters with the system!
-
Ok, just spotted the 'human', so disregard that comment :D But still some sample races would be good.
Ok browsing through the rules as I see them: I noticed you don't have the 'skill focus' trait as depicted in Startrek? Is this a deliberate decision, or is it just missed out. I don't actually own LOTR but it seems quite heavilly weighted towards that, so could it just be 'cause you haven't cross referred the Startrek book?
-
No I didn't, I leave that to the Narrator to create as any edge that deals with bonuses to skills is really a "skill focus" edge, which is why I spelled out the guidelines for creating balanced edges at the end of the Character Traits section.
Ok, I'll add a Race creation example to that section. Should I add a creation example to all creation chapters?
Btw, thank you all for your comments and compliments... keep them coming (especially the comments). I want to make this as useful a product as possible.
