What's had my attention lately :)

So I haven't been very active in any of my Star Trek fields of late. Many reasons for that, the usual lack of interest (though Enterprise has certainly picked up quite considerably this season) to work and life.

But there is one primary thing that has had my attention.

City of Heroes.

I have read that Marvel is sueing the makers of that game....

yeah, they are, in one of the most sweeping and broad generalizations of 'intellectual property protection' ever seen. I hear they're going to go after crayola and the makers of Paint Shop Pro next.

I'm also wasting a lot of time in this game (althouth a bit less recently since a few... discussions with my GF :o - mind you, most of the time I don't spend in COH I now spend in a French online Web-based RPG I discovered... :p)

Sadly, all my characters are on the Freedom server (where apparently most of the Frenchies go). I'll try to provide a few pics of them when I'm back home.

Which level is your character ? My highest is a lvl 25 controller (and one of my friends, who is the most addicted to the game, has a lvl 32 scrapper).

I've also heard that there going after a small production called Hero Machine (was to proud to be a beta tester for). Which you design your characters with fantasy/sci-fi/heroic etc.

Guess Marvel reckons any software that can make a Marvel equivalent Heroic character is copyright. :(

I actually went out and purchased a PC for the express purpose of playing this game. I put in an hour or two a night (most of my free time). I'm hooked and probably in for the duration.

I can also be found on Virtue server (RP = happy me). Main characters are Major Disorder and Captain Artemis (leading my supergroup Joint Task Force Hero; {shameless plug} we'd love to have any of you out there that would like to be part of a military-themed team {/shameless plug}) or the Spooky Child, most dangerous kindergardener in Paragon City.

Funnily enough I bought a PC for exactly the same reason. My roommate got the game for his PC and I was hooked, sold my Mac for $500 and bought a $500 PC that just runs it now :)

Need more RAM and a faster video card, otherwise a good system to build on and it plays CoH very very well :)

I am thinking of moving Ex off of the Virtue server, since he is overshadowed by my primary alt, Lady America.

Perhaps the Justice server, which I hear good things about. I dunno. Like I say I am going to wait to see if they allow server switching.

On a side note, everyone knows there is a Trek MMORG on the horizon, yes?
