Alien Compendium netbook
Subject line says it. Scott Rhymer (qerlin, Black Campbell) wrote up 16 of the more obscure/exotic Trek species for CODA. Here's the list:
Aaamazzarites
Aenar
Antedeans
Arcadians
Arcturans
Ariolo
Arkenites
Boslics
Bzzit Khaht
Chameloids
Dopterians
Kasheetans
Rigelians
Saurians
Xelatians
Xyrillians
This is version 0.9. The writeups are done, but I wanted to put pick values with each species, and I could use some feedback on that. I know some of my guesses are wacky. :p Anyway, here's the link to my netbooks page. Enjoy!

Thanks for this!
I'll be printing this out and passing it around the gaming table this week!
-
Hmm must add to my collection ! :D
-
Yup yup yup...looks good, man! sho-sa was a real help in tightening up these write-ups.
Hope everyone enjoys.

Well haveing looked trhough it it's really very good. I spotted a few typo's and there could be a bit more information in some of the entries, but as it goes it's a pretty professional package. Well done to all who contributed!
-
I'm sure there's lots of typos :) Let me know any you find.
-
I wish I'd made notes as I went. If I get the chance I'll see if I can find the one's I noticed before. I don't make for a very good proof reader :)
-
I'm gonna blame those on Sho-sa...just 'cause. ;)
I know I had a bunch on the original manuscript, and it's not uncommon for them to slip into the finished product. Did on my first novel. Actually, I've read a bunch of professional published material of late where typos show up -- both fiction and non...obviously there's a shortage of proofreaders out there. :D
Some of the entries are sketchy because they were based on what little info there was on the particular races. Some of them are really fleshed out because the idea was too cool not to overdo it (I love the way the Xelatians turned out -- space squids, yeah, baby!)
Hope everyone enjoys.

Agreed, there are a number of very nice races in there.. so much that I may have to introduce some in my game coming up.. which one.... :D
-
Aenar, Boslics, or Chameloids. :p
-
I'm no dummy, that's why it's version 0.9. ;) I'll do another proof on it, and hopefully y'all can catch some stuff that I might miss. And really, any thoughts on pick values are encouraged.
As for what to indroduce into a campaign? That's pretty difficult. I rather like the 'Z' species myself, and maybe the Kasheetans or Saurians. I think many of the species are best as NPCs, but are cool nonetheless.
-
If we were doing this right -- like Microsoft  -- then this woud be version 1.0 (otherwise known as a Beta...)
We've into Xelatians as NPC's -- way cool creatures -- as well as Arcadians. The A races and the Xyrillians are probably the easiest to intro as PCs, with the Saurians next.
On another game-related (not this one) note, my London sourcebook for the Victoriana system is due out in a week or do in .pdf format in RPG drive thru and POD from Heresy Games. Buy one; justify my paycheck! Buy two -- they're small! :D
-
I barelly noticed the plug there :D
have you got any more obscure aliens planned ? :)
-
Ooh! Ooh! Time for suggestions! :p
Bandi, Ligonians, Haakonians, Myleans, Krenim, Tzenkethi, Patriarchy, First Federation (leader in postNemesis era: Blalock), Tkon, Cytherians, Gallamites (I had confused them with Boslics, apparantly), Ullians
-
Well, I know some of them will be in Mac's TNG sourcebook...
