Reading this first article makes me with more and more that we should attempt that buyout of paramount that I was talking about a couple months back.
However, I understand that the logistics would be very difficult, and the funding we'd need would be more than anyone, from my knowledge, has.
But if, we the fans, were able to. Imagine the possibilities.
I imagine that Manny Coto would write the film screenplay with Judith & Garfield Reeves-Stevens.
I imagine that TNG cast would put their egos in check as the next Trek film will feature most of the other castmembers of DS9, VOY, and in a twist, ENT.
I imagine that the prologue scene would feature NX-01 crew involved in an incident during Year 6 of their mission. An entity much like Q or Guinan is either the "person of interest" or a witness to the incident. Fade the scene as Archer is logging the incident...
Admiral Picard is listening to Archer's log recording of that incident.
OBTW, the entity is revealed to be Sisko from the Bajoran Celestial Temple (the wormhole).
Y'know, Reg, in a frightening display of something or another, I'd actually pay to go see that, which is more than I can say for the last couple of TNG films....
Yeah, that is frightening of you do to that. :p
The thing is, it should no longer be just a TNG film, but a pure Trek film. Pool them altogether, make three different stories relating to one major arc.
Not sure i a film like that would just be a huge big messy Jumble! :S
Yes I do think that Nemesis completelly forgot to use the ensemble cast in any other role than 'background', Equally ALL of the Trek cast in one film would be ugly! :D
I can't really say I'd like to see a Voyager DS9 or Enterprise Feature film (maybe an Enterprise Romulan war film would be cool actually) but it would be nice to see them again... just not alltogether ! :D
Only if those actors who do sign onboard are fighting for airtime.Quote:

Of course, it would be helpful of Nicholas Meyer is signed on as director. He's the only guy that went 2-for-2 successful Trek films on record.
If you want to consider ST6 a successful Trek film. Personally, I think he screwed the pooch in a big way with that one. And that doesn't count my opinion of the man himself, which isn't entirely complimentary.
You wanna tell me why he screwed the pooch?
And yeah, I did enjoy Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.
