MISSION
The Conquistador Class of vessel appears to take the place of a core battlecruiser and pocket ‘mothership’ within the Andromedan Fleet. Unlike it’s larger sister vessel (Dominator Class), the Conquistador will likely accompany raid fleets of the invasion fleet to savage trade routes and has often been used as a ‘bunkerbuster’ against enemy starbases and fleet docks.

FEATURES
Much of what is known about this massive vessel is pure conjecture at this point as no Alpha Quadrant vessel has survived an encounter with the intruder vessel. What little intelligence that has been gleaned was dredged from the mission recorder of a Klingon Kolodhe Class Battlecruiser, recovered in 2289 by the IKS Bortas near the Neutral Zone. Here is what is known:

The Conquistador Class vessel is of extra-galactic origins judging from H-R diagram readings taken from the Klingon visual and gas emissions scans of the ship’s hull. It does not appear to use conventional warp drive technology as it is known, but rather a method of subspace displacement similar to what has been proposed by many species scientists as a subspace ‘fold’, wherein the vessel ‘moves’ two sections of space together to slip from one local to another. The tactical and strategic implications of this are frightening. The drive appears to be harnessed in the ‘sail tower’ sections in the aft section of the vessel.

Weapons observed on the Conquistador appear to be weapons similar to standard phaser arrays user by Federation and allied species, and a previously unseen form of energy weapon. From analysis of the remains of the battlecruiser, it would appear the weapon is a highly advanced form of tractor beam projector that can manipulate the attraction/repulsion forces to such a fine extent and in such rapidity that the enemy target is literally shaken or torn apart. Apparently from the ships records, the T-R device is exceptionally effective in causing damage as the T-R beams adapt to the ship’s shielding arrays unlike normal tractor systems. Damage from after action analysis indicates the weapon is comparable to the strongest disrupter weapons known.

Unfortunately, further information about the ship’s interior, internal life support systems, and sensors are pure conjecture at this point as no accurate readings could be salvaged. All Federation and Allied commanders are advised that the species appears to be exceptionally powerful and the intent of the intruders are unknown as of the time. Sightings of ships of similar design near the Organia System have been confirmed, which may explain the relative silence from the Organian system within the last several Solar years.
