A Little Help

Does anyone know how to confert stuff from the ICOn system of LUG to the Coda system. My group are wanting to start back up are game but they want to continue from where they where in are LUG game. But they want to use the new rules cause they like them better. Unfortunately all I have is the Players book and the narators book. I have the ship and alien book on order at my local store but we want to get started right away. So I thought if there was a method of converting stuff I could use that until I get the books. So any help would be appreciated.

That helps for the characters not sure what I am going to do for the races and the ship. I have an NPC that is a Tellerite and a PC that is a Bolian. The ship is a Nebula class ship.

When converting characters it is best to do so with the players, and try to keep the spirit of the character in mind rather than just converting the characters "by the book". The important thing is for the characters to feel right and be able to do the same things that they could before.

There are also some addtional rules in the STARFLEET OPERATIONS MANUAL brings back the Weapon and Unarmed maneuvers and fighteing styles from ICON. Depending on what sort of characters you have, those rules might be of interest. You can always save a few of the character's picks to add in the martial arts stuff later.

Lastly. there is a lot of fan made CODA write- ups for species, ships and stuff all over this site. THeye were written up by other players while waiting for Offical versions of thier favorite species and ships to be released. Much of it is over high quality, and if not identical to what was offically released, it is close enough to use, even as a stop gap measure until you can get offical stuff.
