Dusting of the old Icon books for another go

HI,

I bought the full seasons on DVD of ST:TOS and am totally jazzed to put on a campaing for some friends, and it is also the 40th anniverery so good timing I think. Is anyone out there still playing ICON. I love the system, expect for the combat, which I think is pretty cool but there is alot of holes a GM has to fill in. If there are any experts out there, I have a questoin. I cant find what block bonus on weapons does. I did see one reference in TOS that said it works like resistance when taking damage, but I thought it was a bonus to the block roll. Any help would be apprecated. Plus I just want to talk ICON.

The weapon stat is a bonus to a block roll to establish a "to hit" difficulty. As far as I remember it does not affect damage resistance, which is normally from armour. I suppose you could house rule it to do so, but if you're not hit, you're not damaged ...
