In a couple more decades, not much of TOS TECH will be considered Science Fiction. When we are all old and decrepit we will be telling people how when we were young the doctors had to perform an exploratory operation to figure out what was wrong with you.

Probably uphill, both ways, knee deep in snow, too. :D
