Beware Tropico!
My friends I must warn you of an insidious new addiction that is sweeping across computer screens everywhere. It is called Tropico.
Tropico is a real-time top/down God game where you are the ruling dictator of a small Caribbean island. You build farms, set pay, build teamster unions, bars, hotels to attract tourists, manage your economy and issue edicts to keep your people happy. In your role as El Presidente’ there will be threats to your power that you can quickly crush with your army or you can appeal to the people’s happiness by providing to their needs. Several different factions will support or try to overthrow you, while all the time you maintain diplomatic relations with both USSR and the USA.
Tropico is a game that you start at 7 pm “for just a few minutes” and turn off later to look up and see that it is midnight.
I warn you! Do not go to the Tropico web site and look at this amazing game!
For me, it is already too late! However there is still time to save yourself! http://www.trekrpg.net/Board/ubb/biggrin.gif

Yet another addictive computer sim game for me to waste time with! http://www.trekrpg.net/Board/ubb/biggrin.gif
Thanks, Don. Now I'll NEVER get any gaming in! http://www.trekrpg.net/Board/ubb/wink.gif
