Craven

Many Orcs have the Craven edge/trait.

Reading this edge, it would appear that as soon as the creature is faced with a "battle" it must run off?
How do Narrators play this? Obviously not all orcs leg it, as soon as the PCs draw swords...

I can understand it from the intimidate perspective, just not sure about "battle".
help appreciated as always.

The way I've always played this is that confronted with an obviously superior force or obviously beaten, orcs won't stick around to die. :) They're evil, sadistic, and primitive, but not without survival instinct.
