Multiple Micro Warp Drive Nacelles

I noted the other day watching an episode of Voyager "Disease", they had been helping the species called the Varro make modifications to their long duration ark ships to achieve Warp Speed or at least that was what I understood they were doing. This write up it is to represent that ships modifications.


Multiple Micro Warp Drive Nacelles
• Some ships that are sub light capable starship have been retrofitted with exterior mounted micro warp nacelles that are capable of providing limited Warp Speed Systems. Normally set up in equal groups of four, six, eight, excreta located around the vessel.
• To determine how many of these nacelles that are required to a ships size determines the number of nacelles. Example: A vessel such as a Galaxy class a size 8 starship would require eight of the Micro Warp Nacelles
• The Micro Nacelles are powerful but have limit Warp Speed capability. These Micro Warp Nacelles have a speed reduction of -1.0/-2.0/-2.0 with a reduction of 1 hour to maximum warp and cost 10% more than standard warp nacelles.
• The major drawback of these nacelles has little protection from weapons fire. The Micro Warp Nacelles are easily knocked off when the ships so equipped can accidently brush up against anything requiring their replacements.
• The installations of such nacelles require time the nacelles and PIS SU’s = hours to install or replace.

Speed: 5.0/7.2/7.6 [1 power/.2 warp speed]
Special configuration: Standard two nacelles
PIS: Type G ((10 – 1 = 9) hours of Maximum warp) <14>
Hours to install 130 hours (or 5.4 days)
