hybrid quantum slipsteam/warp drives

another very interesting thing that Star Trek Renaissance posited was a "hybrid quantum slipsteam/warp drive"

Basically the system adds extra subspace driver coils to the nacelles (suited to creating transwarp fields rather then warp fields) and a physical realignment of the deflector array. The hybrid drive can alternate between warp and transwarp as required (a switch over process that takes around 90 seconds)

The drive had some limitations (these drives came into circulation late 2300's, early 2400, technology developed after Voyager returned 2378)

warp speed was rated at warp 9.2/9.98/9.9905 (36 hours) (so using type 9 nacelles)

transwarp 120000 times the speed of light (TSL) for no more then 12 hours (before critical failure occurs)

hybrid drive needed the increased stability of the Quantum Induction core as a power source (M/AM reactors proved insufficient)

so I thought SU cost would be in the region of 197 (includes 2 type 9 nacelles, with variable geometry coils incorporated), SU20 for the type J PIS and vessel needs to have a QIC and auxiliary navigational deflector (which is dedicated to the slip stream system)
