History-
The Orman-Class was an elongated, reinforced hull that made 2/3rds of the headway (the other third being the Alexandria and Niagara classes) in developing more organic, streamlined hulls, often functioning as 2Xl deep-space cruisers and performing diplomatic relations with the Ferengi, Tamarians, and a handful of other races, mostly to ensure fair dealings with the Ferengi, and to work out patrol routes of Starfleet and KDF ships. One or two were used as testbeds for Bio-Neural Mk I Circuitry in 2370, and Holographic Communications in 2373. They were produced at Antares Fleet Yards, Tellar and Cait at a rate of 3 per year.
