Spacedock+Decipher?
Steve, Hope this isn't to off topic, but I just read your article (part I) in Game Trade Magizine on the new Star Trek game. I am now waiting pateintly for it to hit stores in Oct. My question for you Is how compatible will Spacedock be to the new game and whether or not you have any plans for writing a conversion to or from, for useing space dock with the new game?

I wouldn't count on seeing it in the stores in October -- at this point, I'd say November is more likely -- but is is coming. http://www.trekrpg.net/Board/ubb/smile.gif
I don't have any specific plans at this point to write any sort of DecipherTrek-Spacedock conversions, but you never know what may strike my fancy. I don't really think it'd be that hard for most gamers to figure out how to use the info in SD with another set of relatively similar rules.
Besides which, once Decipher starts coming out with ship rules and books, full of bright shiny pictures and stuff, you guys are probably going to forget all about my li'l ship books. http://www.trekrpg.net/Board/ubb/wink.gif

Are you kidding??
I am positively counting on your books to boost the number of ships in the Dec Game. I figure they will have cool ships, but when it comes time for some suprise ambush and they the players think they know all of the ships I could use, BOO-YA, a Spacedock ship from say the Cardassian SRM attacks, pinned against the wall of ignorance, m players wonder, what the hell is it? Can we survive?
All I do is laugh maniacally,
BWAhahahahahahahahahaaha......
Oops, got carried away there, but I think I made my point.

Forget about your books!!!! Hardly. Keep 'em coming.

I second that!!!! Keep 'em coming! A game system is only as good as the people who back it up IMHO!

Hey, a dead game can still be a perfectly good and playable game, it's just that we like additions anyway and we like to support the creators, and a lot of us do forget about games that die.

Games. The Final Product. These are the books of the Star Trek RPG. Their five year license. To explore strange new roles. To breathe new life into get togethers. To boldly play what no fan has played before!

Steve, you underestimate yourself, your work and your staying power.

Forgive me, I'm new to this website. I read above that there are books about Star Trek ships! Where can I find such books. I read about Decipher's new Trek RPG. Did Last Unicorn ever come out with their Spacedock book or was it cancelled?

You can find Spacedock, The Dominion War Sourcebook, and the Starfleet Recognition Manual on the TrekRPG website. They were released by their author when LUG/WoTC lost the license for Trek.

Me again. I feel kinda stupid but I can't find them on the website. Can you direct me where to go. Thanks.

Disregard the above post. I've found it! Repeat, I've found it! Yee-haw!
Er, umm. Sorry, I'm a hopeless goof.
