I've notice "Ex Astris Scientia" talks about ships in a few episodes called the Yeager class. The only image, though, is a schematic.
Is the Yeager a canon ship? I've never noticed a sort of cannibalised Intrepid on-screen, and I'm wondering if I missed it.

Its canon (ish). The Yeager class was never named, nor seen in action. It was however regularly seen in stock footage in orbit around DS9 during the Dominion War...

The Yeagaer class also is named as such in the DS( Technical Manual, making it one of the more authentic names for an unnamed ship.
Basically it is another one of the "kit-bashed" ships designs rushed into the field to combatthe Dominion.
