I don't think Spacedock will handle creating stats for your Super Star Destroyer that well -- or at least filling up 10 million SUs will require a a starship template about 10 pages long.

I am having great difficulty finishing the Cardassian Hutet Class from the Dominion War computer game...
It seems that if I have problems with a far smaller ship I wont be much help here, but as Don says, Spacedock isn't totally designed for it.

Hey Dan, can you provide any insight as to Dominion Wars? Reviews seem few and far between on this game.

But that big momma of a ship was crying out to me to be built... I just seem to have stalled at the giant planet wreaking weapon...

You should talk with Brian K, I know he was interested in making a Spacedock version of some of the Dominion Wars ships http://www.trekrpg.net/Board/ubb/smile.gif

Ok, can I ask a question SF Man?... How well does that Excell program work, and would you be willing to post it for download?...Quote:

Oh, and it's not a "destroyer" it's an "escort..." A very BIG "escort..." (j/k) http://www.trekrpg.net/Board/ubb/biggrin.gif

I know it goes without saying, but I just have to say it to ease my own head pains...
WHAT THE #@%@#*&*!!!!!!!
5.5 km long, armed better and meaner than a battalion of Klingon women in heat, able to take a bearing better than any other ship to date, and science up the backside?!?!?!?!?!
Ok, realisim aside, I don't want to know what this campaign is about... "Federation Vice" comes to mind... Anyway, my head feels better, I think... Sorry to mash your grand "Escort" (and if that is true, I've got some Varon-T's to sell you), but if you want a Star Destroyer, I know a few great Star Wars sights you may like...

Well, the Borg Cube described in SRM1 is five kilometers on a side, so we'll assume the Gambler is between Sizes 14-16. That gives several thousand SUs for equipment. Extrapolate bigger phasers (Type XVIII sounds good - the same Steve lists in the DWS as being planetary defence weapons for Earth) following the SU progression on the chart in SD. Same for better shields. You'll need two warp cores for the extra power. Go with internal warp nacelles if you can (does the Gambler actually look like a SSD or are people just poking fun?) as you get stronger shields and it only costs 6SU to buy Type 1 Upratings to restore the speed. Try not to make the crew too large as you'll end up paying most of the SUs for crew quarters. Luckily, systems like sensors, science equipment and the like are fairly cheap no matter how big the ship is. You already mentioned elsewhere that the ship only has one holodeck so no expensive recreation cost. As for ablative armour, I reckon very large ships might fit more than the 1500 points described in SD. Conversely, smaller ships like shuttles should barely fit any. How about a certain allowance per Size class instead of a flat limit for "small" and "large" ships? Although the SU cost of the armour tends to limit how much smaller ships can have anyways...
You might also want to overlook the 2 x Size limit for number of phaser arrays if you want lots of smaller arrays so that the ship's weapons are less easy to disable with just a few called shots. Although with a Size 14-16 ship you should be able to pack in more than enough weaponry.
Oh, and tempting though it may be, go with basic shield types rather than regenerative shields. The Size multiplier for all shield systems is prohibitive enough for large vessels without adding to your worries. The ship should have enough ablative armour to stay in the fight while the shields recharge anyway.
