Need some help with a story arc

I had an idea including a species on VOY, called the Vadwaar(?). After Voyager leaves them, the captain is informed that a group of 50+ left through their subspace conduits.

Now, I had in mind that they journey to an area near the federation and settle a world they garnered info. on from the VOY computers. After settling the planet, the leaders begin a plan of ultra fast renovation and expansion of their empire using conduit creation technology. After having conquered two or three minor races, subjugating them and dividing them into different work classes(warrior race and say the ops race, or somethin in the sort).

In the show, they also mention that their tech is 900 yrs old, I'm bending this a little considering they were doing good damage vs VOY and they did have the subspace conduits. So they buy new equipment and the latest tech from the Ferengi and steal some more from the Tholians. Their Tholian Web tech is very similar to Vadwaar Conduit tech and is easily interchangeable.

Still with me? Great. Now, here is my problem, I need an idea for some stats and the way other empires might react to such a rise to power.(Especially the Tholians). Do the Vadwaar pose as Tholians to deflect attention or do they show themselves? I also need an idea of how their society works since I kinda always tune out when Neelix began to speak during the show:rolleyes: .

Well then any ideas on where I should take this?

I think that they are called the Vudaar and IIRC Dan Gurden has stats for themonhis website.

Alright I've read and re-read the Vaadwaur file, damn its really good. Now I have even more questions though.:p

If I allow the Vaadwaur to intergrate Tholian Web Technology succesfully or half-way, I wonder what would come out of it? I absolutely want to include the Tholians in this conflict, because one of my characters fancies himself a know-it-all on them in-game.

I'm really stumped on how to include them now, I always thought that the Vaadwaur created the subspace conduits(which led me to believe they were good scientists). This would mean that Tholian tech would be well beyond their means, especially with a limited number of scientists.

Oh yeah, and to add to the story, the Vaadwaur which escaped VOY are the same which arrive in the Alpha quadrant, they awakened their buddies and want to lay the smackdown on the Federation or at least Janeway. This way my players can't just kill them all off.(Trust me, they are crazed enough to do it:rolleyes: )
