Got the Bashir/Kira cover of the special issue by TV Guide.
I don't see how ENT got in there, since it's not even done with its first season, but "Shuttlepod One" was ranked #27, and "Broken Bow" was next at #26 (and was also listed as having the "sexiest moment".) :rolleyes:
The other entries ae the usual mish-mosh of good shows. Somehow VOY got 7 entries in the list. (?)
Go check out the issue if you get a chance.
I can easily name 7 good, if not great, Voyager episodes. I understand the reluctance to pass up a little Voyager-bashing, however.Quote:

Ah, sorry about that. Didn't mean to bash too terribly much. I'll admit I didn't watch all of VOY's run. I watched most of the first two seasons and pieces of episodes here and there if I happened to catch the TV on UPN. My knowledge of VOY is therefore limited to that range.
Don, I respect your opinion, and if you feel that VOY managed to put together at least 7 good shows, hey, maybe I missed something by not watching. If they ever get released on DVD, I'll check 'em out.
And I suppose the ":rolleyes: sexiest moment:rolleyes:" was the decom scene? That scene was just YUCKO. I can't believe B&B haven't figured it out yet that including half-naked supermodels on Star Trek really doesn't increase the show's status in the ratings as much as they think.Quote:

Speaking as someone who ranks Voyager fifth out of all the Trek series, even I'll admit to an average of four or five good, occasionally excellent, episodes per season. It was just that TNG and DS9 regularly hit over a dozen per season! Plus, when Voyager did badly, it did very badly! (And frequently...)Quote:

I could probably place seven good eps without difficulty - if I could remember their names...
I'll admit that Voyager had some good episodes. But I don't think it had 7 of the best 35 out of the nearly 1000 hours of Trek.
I must jump in, as I am a primo Voyager basher. But even the devil gets his due...
1] Living Witness - I just love this episode. So out of the pale and really sci-fi ala HG Wells.
2] Voyager Conspiracy - The writers had a fieldday with this one and it shows. Great moment of TV.
3] Equinox Part One - Just something about starfleet officers giving up their ideals really speaks to me, Janeway included.
4] Equinox Part 2 - And then to see the redemption? Wow :)
5] Night - Love the aliens, love the ships, love the plot!
6] Tsunkatse - I know loads of people hated this one, but I really, really liked it. And Duane "The Rock" Johnson did not offend me in the least.
7] Drive - Intersteller hot-rod rally!?!?! With a terrorist plot too boot! Color me impressed and entertained :)
8] Shattered - A nice version of the classic flashback episode. Very enjoyable stuff for me.
9] Q2 - One sentance made this episode for me. "Do not antagonize the BORG!" Classic stuff man, classic stuff :)
10] Infinite Regress - Seven gets to display an intersting problem and Tuvok once again shows us why Vulcans kick @$$... In a totally logical way of course ;)
So there you have it, 10 episodes of Voyager I would watch over and over and will probably buy on tape at some point in my life.
Ah but the top 35 is not the top 35 episodes but scenes in Trek, hence even in a terriable episode one might find a scene which is considered one of the best for example though the movies where not included, the scene in ST:V at the end where Kirk at the reception talking to Spock and McCoy mention that he "Lost a Brother Once", NO scene has captured the fraternal feel between the big three more than this one scene and second would be the famous row boat singalong at the camp fire.
I'm more of a lurker than a poster, but I have to say something.
I love TNG and DS9 more than any of the other shows, Voyager stands fourth.
I think that Voyager made some of the worst Trek episodes ever, but also some of the best. If they went bad, they really hit rock bottom, but if they had something good, it went skyhigh.
Hence the fact, that Voyager belongs in the top 35 of best and the top 35 of worst trek.
Most of the time, voyager was just mediocrate.
AslanC, I think that the episode Mortal Coil belongs in your Top 10. Not that I love the character of Neelix but it was one damn good episode.
I have seen some episodes of Enterprise, and until now, I hate it.
But the problem could be, that I've watched them on my computer, something I really really hate. Just for Trek I make an exception. Next week I will go to the videostore and rent Broken Bow. Maybe I will like it more on my Widescreen TV?!?
