Starship Combat Question

I briefly looked throught the NG/PG but could not locate this answer.

What skill(s) are used to determine if a (C) command roll is successful during a Tier III maneuver. (Cochrine Deceleration, Riker Maneuver)

I was also wondering what are the most important skills for a Captain to have ie. admin, sysops...

The skill used for Tier III maneuvers is Tactics.

While I don't have the PG or NG at hand right now IIRC you use Tactics for all command maneuvers, regardless of the tier of the maneuver.

But only Tier III maneuvers are Command types, and Command type maneuvers are only in Tier III maneuvers... :D

But only for now. There is no guarantee there won't be any tier 1 or 2 command maneuvers in one of the upcoming DecTrek books (or made by someone around here). Same goes for tier 3 helm or tactical maneuvers.

My dear cardassian friend,

Unless it has been proven in some official supplement that there are indeed Tier III tactical maneuvers, I'm sticking to Tier III = Command like in the NG :p

Additionnally, may I remind you that the USS Ascendant CAN NOT execute Tier III maneuvers... :rolleyes: What good would they be?? ;)
