what races are included in the Players Guide (I don't have one yet) just wondering.
Bajorans, Betazoids, Cardassians, Ferengi, Humans, Klingons, Ocampa, Talaxians, Trill, and Vulcans. (The idea was to include every species that had been featured in the regular cast of one of the series...I suppose the Cardassians got in on the strength of Garak and Dukat, even though they weren't regulars.)
The Narrator's Guide has the Andorians, Orions, and Romulans; the forthcoming species book will no doubt have more; and there are quite a few homebrew species profiles floating around here if you do a search.
The Starfleet Ops Manual will have a few more, including Tellarites. :)
Any chance of getting a full listing of waht is in the Starflett Ops Manual.
May I be the first to say. "Woo Hoo!"
Any more teasers as to what we mights see in this Mighty Tome?
Oh Go On... ;)
Oh, goody...(dusts off his copy of Roberts')...Quote:

Will there be a cheap, newspaper edition for third-world countries like mine?? :D :(
(There will be a salary raise here, I can feel it... :p)

And here I thought I was going to skip the SF Ops Manual. Silly me. :)
Funny how one little word can make or break a buying decision, ain't it? Tellarites are a definite selling point for me; even better would be Tellarites and Deltans.
Really? People give a crap about Tellarites? Seriously? Personally, they do nothing for me.
One species like the Tellarites suddenly turns the Ops Manual from "ho hum" into a purchase?
Wow.
I think Deltans are in it too. :)
Tellarites were always one of my favorite races in FASA Trek.Quote:

You also have to realize that I have a pretty broad knowledge of Trek, and I wasn't really excited about a product that seemed to be just a sourcebook for telling me how Starfleet works and how to be a Starfleet officer, two things that I feel I know a lot about.
So, yes, crunchy bits like a favorite species does change things dramatically. And it's even better if the Deltans are in it, too.
I think I am seeing a pattern...
Please correct me if I am wrong...
Are we to presume that the Starfleet Ops Guide is going to run several known Federation Species by us... Like Caitians, Deltans, Tellarites... You name it... All those crunchy ones from LUG that were too minor to go into the main books...
What then would be left for the Aliens book? Well D'uh! That would have to be a segment of ALL THE OTHER species encountered over the years, from Federation friendly to downright hostile...
Is that a pretty good concensus??? Is that... Gulp... What we can expect???
There are some big names in the Aliens book, my friend. Don't sell it short without knowing the contents. ;)Quote:

Do we have any ETA on the Ops Manual?
I am asking this because I have yet to see any of the "August releases" for the line in local stores here in the Bay Area of California, so I am assuming that the line is running behind.
Now, you know what question I want to ask. But I'm fairly sure you can't or won't answer it.Quote:

Maybe you can answer a few general questions, though:
1. Will the Aliens book cover all five series?
2. Will the Aliens book consist exclusively of species we've seen on screen, or will there be some Decipher only species?
3. Roughly how many species will it contain?
Thanks in advance for any answers you can give.
