Adobe Illustrator because they're vector graphics. Very small footprint and they scale to any size.
Tere used to be called a site called Lcars.net that gave tutorials and such on how to make them, exp for Illustrator. Two of the nice things on it was "The shape of doom" (the rounded corner piece) and a nice gif of rgb colors most used on LCARS screens.
Shame it went down.
Good thing for CD burners, have them both burned. Willing to share, would have to send email though (files aren't very big). Also have a vector of the UFP-TNG symbol.
I have the RGB colors used by Okuda for the Voyager graphics on his Mac. He posted them online at least once. Many of the colors used here are of the same type.
I prefer Illustrator because Illustrator files drop easily into Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign. When doing layout work I can't stress how easy it is to drop your graphics, resize, and switch back and forth without messing around with file formats.
Shoshuro
Would you mind sharing those tutorial files with me ?
Thanks

I'm using Publisher for LCARS design - I make the Round Shape Of Doom with two rounded rectangles, one of background color. Completed with rectangles of backgound color to edit out the parts I don't want.
Clumsy at first, but works well after that.
Anyway, I'd be interested too in this set of graphics!! Could you send them to
lionelkw at lionelkw.com
Thanks a lot :)
Well, is there anyway that I could do the LCARS design and stuff using a combination of Microsoft Word and JASC Paint Shop Pro v7.
