Well I am hoping Don Mappin makes the 4 sheet in a PDF with Forums with out the bad color scheme he likes to use, but since there is none at this point I have a place for you to check out.
GandolfofBorg has a good group with some good sheets to use and a decent generator

Sorry you don't like the "bad color scheme." You seem to be clearly in the minority.
BTW, the sheet prints just great in greyscale if you don't want to use color ink.
I agree with you both, when I saw those colors on screen I said YUCK!.Quote:

However when I printed them out, I found them very pleasant. The colors were more pastel out and not so "rude."
The Only thing I don't like about those forms is not being able to save my character (with Arcobat reader.)
Don, Is there any other format you could publish those forms in (so they could be edited?) I would love to use them to have electronic character sheets...
BTW: I have never understood why Acrobat Reader lets you to enter Form data w/out saving it...
Hey Don, look what I found in this Acrobat Reader Support Document.Quote:

Can you turn those privs (Inport/Export FDF) on?Quote:
Working with Rights-Enabled PDF Documents
You can create PDF documents that have usage rights with Adobe Document Server for Reader Extensions. When you open a rights-enabled PDF document in Acrobat Reader 5.1, you can do one or more of the following:
-- Create digital signatures in a PDF document
-- Add and view comments in the form of highlights, sticky notes, free text annotations, graphic and text markup tools, and sound or movie files
-- Import and export comments and form data (FDF)
-- Save edited PDF files to a hard disk
To determine whether a PDF is rights-enabled, choose File > Document Info > Document Rights. If the Document Rights command is dimmed, usage rights aren't enabled.
For more information about Acrobat Document Server for Reader Extensions, visit Adobe's Web site at http://www.adobe.com/products/server...ons/main.html.
I personally thought Don's sheet easily a match for anything Patrick (Mad Irishman) Murphy has done; the functionality is superb, and the varied color scheme, at the very least, keeps the eye interested. It certainly beats the hell out of the monochromatic Icon Core rulebooks' sheets - along with actually having enough spaces for the skills your character possesses - and it's a quantum leap over those nightmarish sheets featured in the Player's Guide, and which were so unfortunately reprinted with the Narrator's Screen (You think the character sheets suck? How about this - instead of just one or two, we'll give you a half dozen of 'em, done in a glossy style so that ink doesn't stick to 'em! That'll fix yer little red wagon).
The sheets from the SOM aren't bad, but I much prefer being able to type in my own information, as we have with Don's sheet - it's too easy to run out of space in a skill cell or have cramped/bad handwriting muck up an otherwise attractive document. The only issue I've got with Don's sheet is the restricted space for Species/Professional Abilities; as characters advance, that little box is going to fill up fairly quickly, although I guess the Notes space could be used in a pinch.
I never said they did not print on my B&W laser printer fine but my monitor is in color and I have to look at those colors. I do not like the colors nor my players (whom all complain about how bad the colors are on the monitor for the sheet).Quote:

Sorry you took obvious offense to my opinion.
I'll look into "Acrobat Document Server for Reader Extensions." I'm not entirely sure what that is...
I've been playing with more advanced forumulas as well. Next version of the form (the final one) will auto-calc your final skill values and, if you have no ranks in the skill, automatically apply the non-skilled penalty. Nifty cool. :)
I was looking for something similar (the untrained skill use penalty) in my Spanish language charsheet (based on Lancer's), but unfortunately I can't use Javascript to save my life. Care to share the final formula with me, Don?
Suggestion: print " " when the skill can't be used untrained instead of Attribute Mod -2. What do you think?
Yea, I'm thinking of forcing a NULL or 0 for a skill that can't be used untrained but there are some abilities out there that let you use skills untrainined...so I don't think that'll work. ;)
In that case you'd force that putting 0 as your skill level... well, at least in theory that would work, right?
