A Little Tidbit I Thought I'd Share
I'm not one to usually toot my own horn (as they say...though I don't really know who 'they' are), but I'm particularly pleased to announce that, after more years, setbacks and turns of bad luck than I care to admit...I'm a college graduate, as of Saturday, May 17, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science, concentrating in Political Theory, Public Administration and American Government and Politics (three of the five concentrations that our department offers). To my own surprise, I managed to graduate with departmental distinction and with honors, so I got to be one of the 'nerds' with the snazzy braided ropes draped around my neck (which had my mother bragging to everyone she was sitting by).
I'm not one to bring a great deal of personal detail to the boards, but, having been in and out of college since I graduated from high school in 1993, this is, in my estimation, my proudest accomplishment to date, and I just wanted to share it with all my friends and board-mates here at TrekRPG!
Thanks, everyone...and especially Don, for providing a place where I could come to, and suppoting topics that I enjoy, to take my mind off of my studies and relax (or at least engage in some away-from-school debate). :)
