Transferring LUG's Skill Mods to GURPS

I use GURPS to play Star Trek, but LUG's supplements and starship rules. I want to use certain skill modifiers found in books like Spacedock (TA/T/TS bonus, for example) in my games. I thought of trnsferring them directly and, whenever the system mentions a change in the number of dice rolled, apply a +/- 4 modifier. For those who doesn't know GURPS, its task resolution system requires you to roll three d6 and score equal or less than your skill rating, modified by circunstances.

I know some people calcultae dice probability etc, so I thought I would ask you fuys about that. What do you think? Direct transference or should I come up with a more convoluted way?
