The Search for the Stones

By popular demand, I have resolved to run one more LOTR PBeM game.

Race: Man - Any, Hobbit or Dwarf (special dispensation only)
Orders: Any, except Magician (or Wizard)
Starting Advancements: 6

Introduction
--------------
The old times have past and the King Who Returned has now passed on. It is now the reign of Eldarion. Most of the wars with the remnants of the power of the ancient Shadow in the East have dwindled and the West is prospering. The city of Osgiliath is being rebuilt and expanded as are other lands in the North. Amidst the reconstruction, the Palantir of Osgiliath was recovered to the surprise and wonder of all. Immediately, the new king reclaimed the stone and set it inside the great throne room in Minas Tirith. Unable to resist its use and against the foreboding of his loremasters, he stole away in the middle of the night to look into the stone.

The experience shook him terribly. From within it he saw the horrors of the past unlocked: the loss of the two stones in the North and death of Arvedui, the capture of the Ithil-stone and its twisted use against the Orthanc-stone and stone of Minas Tirith, the death of Denethor, the last Ruling Steward, and the sadness of the sea from the memories of the Elven wardens of the stone once kept in Elostirion. Though the trauma of his experience aged him like his father after wrestling with the Dark Lord himself, Eldarion was resolved to acquire the other missing stones; their power in the wrong hands can be terrible. In the morning, he made a call to his captains and loremasters to have those knowledgable in lore and possessing great skill afield to appear in his court for this quest.
