Various questions about the NG
First off, hello everybody ! since it's my first post on this forum. As you've most probably deduced from my thread's title I'm having some troubles with a few Narrator's Guide rules. Any enlightenment would be appreciated ;)
P118: Table 7.11. The Multiweapon attack has a “Protection+5/weapon system” listed. But, p119 the given TN is protection +10. What’s the appropriate TN ?
Concerning starship building, how do you determine the number of decks a vessel can have ? Crew complement is explained p137 but doesn’t elaborate on how to find out the number of decks a ship can host.
I checked out the table 7.9 erratum - Shield Strength Track. The correct entry for a 9 strength is now “Bridge panel shorts! (roll stamina TN 10 or stunned for 1d6 min)”. That means that most of the crew will be stunned, right ? By the way, the duration is 1d6 min, am I correct to assume the starship combat round has the same length as the regular combat round ? And, if so, won’t a 1d6 min stunned penalty be an overwhelming advantage for an enemy ship ?
Finally one (ok, two) silly questions: what mean “A” and “AD” listed in the Shuttlebay entry ? And “FV” and “AV” for tractor beams ?
thx
:)

I would go with the text on page 119, but I'll double-check with Don...

Decks are usually 3-4 meters in height. Judge based off the height dimension you gave your ship.

Nope. That means one (randomly determined or chosen bythe Narrator) bridge panel shorts out and the person at that panel rolls a stamina test to avoid being stunned.

Yes, they are the same length as normal combat rounds, IIRC.

a = aft, f = forward, d = dorsal (or the "top" of the ship), v = ventral (or the "bottom" of the ship). These can be used in combination get, for example, AD or Aft Dorsal.
