[News] Decipher RPG Product Lines Transferred

I've received confirmation that both Jeff Tidball and Jesse Heinig are now currently unemployed.

I have no information regarding the other LA studio staff who, in all likelihood, shared similar fates. There is no news if the staff were offered a transfer to Virginia nor who (if anyone) is running the RPG division.

Our best wishes to Jeff and Jesse and the other affected studio members during this difficult time.

Probably unchanged; Doug was never a Decipher employee and merely a volunteer. For the time being I would suspect that Decipher would want to keep him.

I'll ask him to drop by and comment with any news.

I'm still around, but I honestly don't know what my status is yet (I didn't even hear about this whole thing until this morning...). I'm planning on making some calls and will let you know as soon as I find out.

Well........with all the delays in releasing new books, the lack of a decent website for CODA that is endorsed by Decipher, the right hand not knowing what the let hand is doing, etc, etc....I can't say I'm surprised.

Forgive me if I sound like I'm crowing but "I told you this will happen"........Frickin' pathetic!

I don't know if it's going overboard to state that the handwriting is pretty much on the wall at this point; my concern is with regard to what's going to happen to this site. If Decipher has resigned itself to abrogating its responsibilites/obligations with regard to the licence, or Paramount/Viacom has finally tired of Decipher's interminable delays and pulled the plug - or some combination thereof - will this site revert to its previous format, or is the upgrade/update still scheduled to be carried through in some form or fashion? Or is it still too early to reach a conclusion as to where things stand?

Too early to comment. Suffice it to say I have "backup plans."

That much, at least, is good news. :) Thanks.
