Romulan Ground Forces (ICON)

Y'all are such a big help with input .... more to peruse:

In Way of D'era it mentions The Pacification Command and the soldiers thereof...there was then an Icon Link where you could get the Trooper Overlay (and the cool dropship) ... it's a 50 DP overlay unless I can no longer count .... So I thought it may be worthy of a tweak. Between WoD and DWS they refer to the forces as Tal Shava (Imperial Marines) and Teth Koros (Imperial Shrikes).
So this would be my take on the ground force soldiers:

Tal Shava (54 DP)

Athletics (choose Specialization) 1 (2)
Computer (choose Specialization) 1 (2)
Demolitions OR Heavy Weapons (choose Specialization) 1 (2)
Dodge 2
Energy Weapon (Disruptor Rifle) 2 (3)
Law (Romulan Military Regulations) 1 (2)
Personal Equipment (choose Specialization) 1 (2)
Planetary Tactics (Small Unit) 2 (3)
Planetside Survival (choose Specialization) 2 (3)
Primitive Weaponry (Knife) 1 (2)
Strategic Operations (Ground Forces Strategies) 1 (2)
Unarmed Combat (Romulan Navy Martial Arts) 2 (3)
Vehicle Operations (choose Specialization) 1 (2)

High Pain Threshold +2
Code of Honor (Tal Shava Code) -2

The Tal Shava code represents a soldier’s loyalty to the unit, his commanders and fellow soldiers.
(Basic I know but I needed to get rid of 2 DP)

All I did was increase Dodge to 2 and add Law, both as per the basic Soldier Overlay in WoD anyways, and then threw in a Code of Honor (that I don't think is outlandish) to offset the High Pain Threshold & get back down to 54 DP.

DWS also mentions the Teth Koros, Imperial Shrikes. Experts at infiltration, sabotage and assassination. Here then is my take on them:

Imperial Shrikes (Recruit from Tal Shava, infiltration, sabotage & assassination)

WoD & DWS both mention an elite unit called Ventava Legion. DWS mentions it as being 2,000 strong & made up of veterans of the Tal Shava & Teth Koros, so I don't think a seperate Overlay for them is warranted, would be more like an honor bestowed on the best soldiers to be selected to fill it's ranks...

A small nit pick:

Tal Shiar =Internal Security
Tal Diann= Military Intelligence Arm

As to the overlays, well done. A while ago I was thinking of doing the same thing, but never got a round to it. If I were still running my CODA Romulan game I would have to port these guys over.

Phantom - you're quite right, my slip. Tal Shiar = KGB; Tal Diann = GRU (mostly - Soviet political officers were KGB, Rommie political officers are Tal Diann).

Yep, it's that WoD Icon Link Trooper overlay that I was tweaking up to 54 DP from 50.

Sence we're on the subject does anyone know where the RGF drop ship stats are located (Owen?) I've looked on the Memory Icon links but failed to find it.

I have them, but haven't had the time to get them up on line. They're on the "to do soon" list.
