Narrator Talk: The Beginning
For those of you out there who have been following this Sim turned Game, you have learned that Raets volunteered to be the new Narrator, and that the game has been on going since that time. Futhermore, the lack of opertunity on this string is due to the fact that all Inship actions and all actions that shouldn't be persieved by the others have started to take place via email (Actually, in my tracking, and my records, we have reached 53 pages of dialogue & actions on the Vanguard alone!).
However, through out this time, we have had little to no reactions from Narrator Raets during game play. Now, I'm not saying that we are looking to replace Raets, but we are actually very much looking forward to being able to have him Narrate for us. And this should serve as a notice to him that we are waiting on his participation.
Me and others involved will keep the public aware of events as they unfold.
To Sir Sig:
Just don't over hype those shuttles, I don't wanna see anything to unrealistic like size one shuttles that are armed with Plasma Torpedoes and can have a sustained speed of Warp 9.99995. But I don't expect that from you as you are rather level headed and logical concerning things.
Look, I'm still here but....
I do have assignments, test, skills training and other stuff. Every time I check the mailbox, there's an hour worth of roleplaying waiting for me. I'm in this to make sure the sim runs smoothly and stays honest. I'm not sure how or when I should narrate your 'briefings'. I haven't even heard from the Romulans.
Not giving up quite yet, Robbert.

Glad to see that you are still with us. ;)
Now while we are certainly having fun with the roleplaying part, there are some things in those 'briefings' you should IMHO comment on.
We need you to tell us if some of our ideas are just not feasible with the means at our disposal, if our 'timetables' for the things we want to do seem reasonable to you, etc.
There is a lot of IG planning for the upcoming confrontation with the Romulans in our e-mails and you should be aware of that. We need some feedback from you to see if those plans can or can't be used. Our characters would know that, but as players we need the Narrator to tell us.
Telling us in the middle of the battle that an idea we worked on for weeks just doesn't work would be a bit unfair, at least if our characters should have known this from the start. ;)
And if we proceed on the assumption that you have no comments unless you explicitly tell us could possibly lead to the unfortunate situation where we would have to 'retrofit' some (or a lot) of the roleplaying part.
A few lines from you here and there, like "xxx won't work, because you lack the necessary equipment" or "this will only take half the time you thought" would be just fine.
What do you mean no Rom feedback?
ooc: Seylar's just waiting for somebody to rescue her, so someone find that poor woman! :)
ic: The distress beacon still sounded out into space, and Seylar still waited. A few of the lifeboats had joined together to make a larger target to find.
Her mind kept mulling over who it would be best to be rescued by, it had currently settled on the Federation. She might even do something to win herself back into the Empire's graces.
OOG - Revealing In Ship communications.
Granted Pesterfield, you are entitled to know what is going on in ship concerning you and your crew, however, the file I have covers ALL in ship communications and is now 1MB unzipped and 50 plus pages long.
Therefore, you will have to act as if what you aren't suppost to know, you have NO idea of, or someone would have to censor the file and THEN send it to you.
Furthermore, I think the CO & XO should be reached for approval of either option.
CAG out.
