Felinoid Races?

Was that the Eeiauoan from the book Uhura's Song by Janet Kagan?

I believe Enterprise predates that. It is possible that they were intended to be the same race, but it's been a long time since I wrote either book, so I couldn't confirm or deny that.

But Enterprise was definately a Vonda N McIntyre book. So there might not be a connection.

But, well remembered. Kagan's Eeiauoans were a pretty well portrayed felinoid race. Might be worth pulling that book out and adapting them.

Actually Enterprise was 1986, Uhura's Song was 1985. :)
I must confess that I didn't read your whole post and totally missed the reference to Vonda N McIntyre's Enterprise. :o I don't remember any felinoid in that book but it has been quite a few years since I read it. Guess I know what I'll be doing for the next couple days. :)

Really?? I could have sworn Enterprise came first. Ah well, darn my swiss cheese memory. :)

Anyway, the felinoids in Enterprise weren't a major part of the story. One ofthe Starfleet crew was a felinoid, and one of the guests was. It was the interactin between the two felinoids which impressed me. Many years later I still remember it. If not the actual date of release :)

Thanks for all the help guys and girls, it's really appreciated. Our cat gets startled by almost anything, and I thought it would be a funny idea to have a Starfleet officer who hisses at you whenever you surprise him ;)
