Hey, Owen...just an observation, not a criticism. I really like what you've done with the Dyson Sphere stuff.
But I was looking over the episode guide on Star Trek's official site & noticed the Dyson Sphere episode happens in the midst of a couple episodes on the Cardie side of Fed space, near the Argolis Cluster (supposedly near Betazed). Wouldn't that suggest Cardassian involvement, instead of Klingons?
I wanted to use a lot of game infrastructure I'd developed for my original Star Trek: Excalibur campaign back in the 1980's, so I placed it in the Beta Quadrant near Starbase 21 which was on the Klingon frontier handy to the Triangle (a FASATrek setting).
I don't worry too much about travel times in Trek - they can go from Bajor to Qo'noS during a commercial break in a Runabout, so surely they can get from Betazed to the Klingon frontier between episodes.
Thanks for updateing your site, Owen! There's some very useful stuff there. I've already wowed my gaming group with your Obereth deckplans. I'm looking forward to using the space station deckplans.
My gaming group and I appreciate your generous content!
I'm glad you like it, Diamond. It's still in the process of getting tweaked, and there are still two sections to go up, not including the art and modelling pages. I just tweaked the entire Relic section, making it a little easier to read the labels (I liked the embossed look, but it was sometimes a little hard to read), and correcting errors (like the dates Sir Sig mentioned). There's lots more to do...
I like what you have done to your site, especially the stuff on the Excalibur. One question, isn't the Soyuz-class a "newer" design then you have listed? Or are you using a Batch-1 and Batch-2 idea?
The Soyuz was taken out of service in 2288. The Excalibur campaign is set in 2260, only 28 years earlier, so it figures to me that the Soyuz would have been in service then. Of course, this is prior to the wholesale refit of the fleet in the early 2270's, so I've backdated the appearance to a TOS style.
