I assume Lucas was trying to go with a sinister, strong, silent type for Boba. However, one can extraploate on both characters and find common ground rather easily.Quote:

He was also intended to be a throw-away character whose role was only expanded after he turned out to be a favorite with fans. Jango Fett was more interesting than Boba Fett because we actually learn something about him. I'm pretty bummed that they killed him off, actually.Quote:

Jango Fett was ruthless, but he wasn't needlessly cruel. I think Jango would regard Early's methods as amateurish, if effective. On the other hand, without his father's guidance, Boba might easily turn out like Early. So maybe you were right after all.
