Dental surgery sucks.
The Raven deckplans were done by a chap named Samuel Kowal. They are up on the Deviant Art website. http://samuelkowal906.deviantart.com/
I have done only minor changes, mostly to the quarters, and adding the little shuttlebay as seen on the MSD. Sam was gracious enough to lend his permission.
Hmm that little ship might be perfect for the TOS-era game I've been mulling over... I never knew till now that it's a very old design, updated throughout the decades... (Source - Dan's brain).
btw how's the mouth doing?
I feel like someone's been working my face over with an axe-handle. Otherwise, OK...
Finished the AOFW. Next up, the IKS and the Turnstile...
http://www.coldnorth.com/owen/game/s...n/triangle.htm
Aaand the Turnstile is up. Orions are sooo much fun!
And the MCA is done, same link as before. I've started on the Klingon Empire's notable locations, starting with Jonny's Retreat, which should be of interest to Starfleet Intelligence types working the Triangle...
http://coldnorth.com/owen/game/start...ngonempire.htm
After a bit of a wait, the Triangle maps are updated to show the Nausicaan and Breen territories: http://coldnorth.com/owen/game/start...n/triangle.htm , a notable planet in the Klingon Empire: http://coldnorth.com/owen/game/start...ngonempire.htm , and updates to the glossary and chronology: http://coldnorth.com/owen/game/start...e/universe.htm .
The latter pins down the events of Nemesis and NuTrek.
Minor corrections to the chronology and touch-ups to the Romulan Star Empire, including a pic of the Praetor and one of Tomalok's smiling face (Brrrrr). http://coldnorth.com/owen/game/start...ulanempire.htm
More touch-ups to the Rommies (sharpen the ears and comb the bowl-cut) including my treatment of the Romulan rank structure, which varies from Ross Isaacs views in the rank of Centurion.
Ooh, I remember the Centurion Wars of the Icon Era...
I think Kirk's posterior was needed to end the argument...
To recap, Ross believed that because a Roman Centurion commanded 100 men, he was equivalent to a Flag officer. I believe that since a Centurion had to rise from the Ranks, and only commanded 100 men in a unit 0f 6000, he was a sort of Warrant officer bewteen an enlisted man and an officer, but above junior officers. And yeah, Dan's right. We should have invoked Kirk's ass, the ultimate argument-stopper!
Bored, bored, bored, so I updated the Federation: http://www.coldnorth.com/owen/game/s...federation.htm
Well Doug Drexler put up an article on Dan Curry on his blog, http://drexfiles.wordpress.com/ which contains a much better and more complete scan of the Klingon Anatomy image, which I have incorporated into my Star Trek: nomghar Klingon physiology page. The image is cool. Apparently Curry is a trained biomedical illustrator, and it shows in this illustration...
The page on Starbase 21 ( http://www.coldnorth.com/owen/game/s...k/relic/21.htm ) is updated.
That's my reading of the original Roman rank. Ross disagreed, so we'll let it lie at that.
Anyway, I've updated the Federation section, and added a Starbase 21 page. 100 bunos points* for anyone who can identify where I got the names of the XO, CMO and Counsellor for the base. Dale Stone is a combination of the names DALE Dye and Oliver STONE, and uses a picture of Dale Dye. The lower level of images are all from Nemesis and Generations.
* a bunos point is 1/100,000,000 of a fotrune, and comes from the old Fidonet Trek Echo...
Dorothiea H. Patton (counsellor)=Seka (porn actress) 1970's-early 1980's
That's one...
OK, at risk that I'm getting boring (as opposed to bored), I've added more to my Rising Sun pages. This time under Ships of the Triangle, I've added more info on v'Shandru Lines, including deck plans for the King Richard class starliner (based loosely on the FASA Traveller ship). Also! The real story behind Section 31!:D
http://www.coldnorth.com/owen/game/s...andrulines.htm
OK, here are the mystery officers...
Alden Brown = Peter North (male porn star - current)
Melissa Bardizbanian = Chrity Canyon (80's female porn star)
Dorotheia H. Patton = Seka (as noted above)
Annette Robinson = Annette Haven (70's female porn star)
Lisa Trego = Lisa de Leeuw (80's female porn star)
I figured using porn stars' real names gave me ordinary names, but with a face I could envision... I've also got some actor/character combos.
Dale Stone = Dale Dye (actor) and Oliver Stone (director)
Gillian Piper = Gillian Anderson and her daughter Piper
David Fox = David Duchovney and Fox Mulder
Coming up with names and descriptions can be fun... In my current campaign, i use these:
Henri K'rang (Jayne Cobb as a half-Klingon)
Jonathan D'Arcy (Martin Landau)
Giovanna del Chiaro (Barbara Bain with black hair)
Now up, we have some minor touchups to v'Shandru Lines and the King Richard: http://www.coldnorth.com/owen/game/s...andrulines.htm
Detail Sheet for the King Richard now shows the lifeboat plans. Spam in a can?
77 people including a crew of 3, with 4 replicators and two commodes. It's life, Jim, but not as we know it.
http://www.coldnorth.com/owen/game/s...andrulines.htm
Khitomer and Rura Penthe now added to Notable Locations in the Klingon Empire:
http://www.coldnorth.com/owen/game/s...ns/planets.htm
Several canon locations added to the Triangle map, including Daran V, Rura Penthe and Khitomer.
Being in a rather silly mood last night, I put up a selection of humour-themed ships:
http://www.coldnorth.com/owen/game/s...tsectships.htm
...and of course, more Triangle planets...:)
I'll look into giving Harold a VISOR. In the meantime, here's the USS Hard Rock.
OK, Harold looks even geekier with a VISOR. Thanks for the suggestion.
...And I've added a page called "A Gaming Miscellaney" (click on the Relic tab below, and scroll to the bottom) with some Trek content and some non-Trek. Also, a page devoted to my old Dark Conspiracy campaign and some more Morrow Project. The Tesseract can be used in any genre or campaign to confuse the hell out of your players.
I've gone back to my Trek page with an addition to the treatment of the ISSD Invictus, including a shot to compare this 19km long behemoth to a Galaxy class. As old Darth would say, "...Impressive...(breathing sounds)".
I've just got back from my vacation. Saw my parents, had a great time, gained a few kilos. Worked on my page while I was away - took my laptop, but had no FTP access, so updates had to wait until tonight. I've added a Size Comparisons Page to the Miscellaney. Caution, some size comments may be contentious. Click on the Relic tab and scroll down to the bottom to get to the Miscellaney page.
Looks good to me (I prefer the smaller JJ-prise), though I never noticed your "Doomsday Like Any Other" section my favorite FASA module.
Ranging far and wide in my quest to avoid boredom (hospitals are not the most stimulating places) I've added a couple of new comparison pages to the Miscellaney section - Robots and Aliens from all over science fiction, though keeping Trek as the centre-piece. Enjoy!
http://www.coldnorth.com/owen/game/m...iscellaney.htm
Now, we have updates to the Robots and Aliens pages as well as the addition of a "Tools of the Trade" devoted to Trek technology... I've tried to be comprehensive and (mostly) stay within canon while still having fun with it...
