I studied at Bujinkan Bo Dojo in Stockholm. My instructor was Bo Munthe, who was one of the early westerners who studied Ninjutsu in Japan. To bad that he almost never teach anymore.
You are right about the naming part. But it is a good way to find out if someone has been training the same thing. Or if it is something else that they call Ninjutsu.
The way to teach the techniques is different from instructor to instructor. So learning defense against sword (except that it is the same movements as it is against fists) doesn't have to come before using it.
I am actually sitting here, doing a lot of techniques in my head while I am writing. I am doomed. I have to start with Ninjustsu again.
