Don,
I know from personal experience how difficult it is to lose a parent to cancer. My sincere condolences on your loss.
My heartfelt condolences to you and your family at this most difficult of times.
Long Tom

Don:
Fair winds and following seas, Captain Mappin.
My condolences to you and your family during this difficult time. I am sure I speak for everyone on the boards when I say that we are all here for you when you need us.

Don,
I just want to express my deepest sympathies and offer my thoughts and prayers to you and your family during this sad time.
That's what happens when you link to the Discussion Boards directly...you miss the news on the site.
Sorry to read about your loss, Don. Your father sounds like he was a good man. I wish him well wherever he is, and my condolances to you and yours.

Don:
As one sailor's son to another, I salute you and offer my condolences.
My dad always said sailors are reincarnated as seagulls (or shitehawks, as he called them - Brits will know why...). If so I'm sure your dad and mine are up there now.

Don,
My Condolances on your loss.
As someone who's own Father is suffering from cancer, I feel you pain.

My condolences, too, Don. I can't think of anything more to say which hasn't already been stated.
My thoughts and prayers to your family at this time.
Thank you for considering us enough a part of your life to share your personal loss as well as your personal gain (your daughter) a few months back.
I hope the best for your family, and that your Father has found an afterlife as fulfilling as his life on this world seems to have been.
Peace
Don, you have my condolonces on your loss.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
From the post in the News Section, it sounded as if he had a full life. He got to expand his frontiers in the Merchant Marine, had children and Grandchildren, and was surrounded by the people who loved him most. I hope I am as fortunate as to have all that going for me when I go.
I will hold a moment of silence in your honor, D man.
