McKeown breaks in, having spent the past few minutes hunched over the controls.
"Sirs, I am picking up something on the long-range scanners, moving at," he paused to check the reading, "warp six, down the Jentris Corridor.
He paused, seeming to check his own crediblility at the implausibility of what he was about to say.
Sighing, he continued, "Size and mass are consistent with DS6. It could be the station, which would corroborate the Orion's story."
R'rssar slowly raises from her chair and walks over to Doctor Jacoby. She places a paw on his arm and steers him towards the rear of sickbay, prepared to gently (or not so gently) push the Human, should he resist.Quote:

[OOG: I bet Jacoby knows what he's doing, he wouldn't have made ship's CMO otherwise. But R'rssar is really concerned that any apparent nervousness on his part may affect his staff. If Jacoby is as experienced as I hope he is he should be able to work this out before he replies. ;)]

He stares at you with a look you can't quite make out, but it isn't friendly. "My dear Doctor," he begins quietly, "Do you have any idea how much this crew and I have been through? The battles? The carnage? The deaths? We fought the war together. They know me and I know them. Johnson over there has a weak stomach and seeing blood and bone makes him naseous, so I keep him away from trauma if I can and put him on medicines. I am still waiting for a couple of players to say some stuff before I answer your last post. (Give it a day or two... We have been setting a pretty fast pace thus far ;) )

Alejandra begins to make a move toward the flight control console before checking herself with a bemused (and slightly frustrated) shake of her head. "Sir, would it be worthwhile to take a couple pallets of the lateral sensors offline and recalibrate them to get a better track on our guests?"
Assuming she gets a positive response, she'll get to work on this right away, perhaps enlisting some help from engineering. Engineering: Systems roll of 15. See page103, Narrator's guide.
Assuming she gets a negative response, she will reply with an "Aye aye, sir," and await Aslan's return in the morning.

OOG: Taking off sensor pallets requires at least 10 mins, as they have to be manually disconnected and such (think when Kirk went down to the Sensor dish in Generations). Also try and keep in mind that your sensors are very limited on this ship. She is made for fighting, first and foremost.

And while Banockburn's TNG-style scientific sensors might be limited, I'd argue that, being built for fighting, she'd have pretty damn good sensors none the less. I've worked with a former Aegis cruiser CO lately, and I've heard stories about how much sensor data he had to deal with (i.e. almost too much to handle):D Of course, that's neither here nor there as far as this situation goes.

I am not going to argue about anything, I have made a call on the sensors issue. She has less powerful sensors than the Enterprise, and remember that the Reliant couldn't even determine humanoid life on Ceti-Alpha V. Movie gen sensors are limited, plain and simple. Without a sensor dish (like on the Enterprise) you have limited range and mostly (not completely) tactical information coming in. Especially considering the Bannockburn is a Frigate and not a scientific ship by any stretch of the imagination.Quote:

It's a lull. You provided answers four days ago, and pretty much everyone who may have wanted them has posted something on the boards since then. I think we are just waiting on either:

And certain of us hope to move backward as well, so we can get a sense of where our characters fit into the unfolding story. ;)
