i don't... i don't... get it. It's just bizarre.Quote:

It's a nice job on a Ship that sucks. I've always thought that this would look better with the nacelles pointing down (so they end up below the saucer), rather than up.Quote:

Sweet! Now, if i asked really nice (and provided the registry number), could you do me up a version as the USS Durendal? ;)Quote:

True enough. I think I have the registry around here somewhere. Let me find it...Quote:

Might require enlarging the saucer a bit - bring it closer to a bridge-appropriate size.
Found it!Quote:

Well, here's two Durendal's for you. The latter one is something I played with in effects, which worked out pretty cool - looks lifted from an LCARS display.

Now see, that's what I was looking for in Starships. Like the ones in the Narrator's Guide but those images were soooo dark.
That rocks!!! TFV, you're my HERO! :DQuote:

USS Avenger Class Frigate
Essentially, the prototype design for USS Reliant in TWOK.

I like it! Must stat this one out, too, in my copious unstructured free time.Quote:

To make it more difficult, there's a physical model kit (1:2500) that is a pure Connie derivative, with some unique lines and fixes of its own.
This uses the model as a 'base' for the biases in drawing the lines. As a result, it's closer to that than the Jaynez's file, but still recognizable as the same ship.

USS Griffon Class Escort Frigate
Frigate? More like CRUISER. This actually is the size (down to the pixel) given, with the pieces slightly altered for consistancy. Not a lot of editing on this one, actually.

USS Wizard Class Experimental Cruiser
Well, another of the 'Jaynz' files, this one from the so-incredibly-obscure-you-won't-believe-it Stardrive magazine. The official numbers are laughably bad, the backstory rediculous , etc...
I went from the design art, tweaking it just a little, and blithely ignoring the written material.

Romulan V-8 Bird of Prey (Classic Cruiser)
By request, and something I've been wanting to get done anyway.

Most of the Gorn ships in SFB are built like this, which kinda makes sense, I guess... Again, the warp engines are based somewhat on those found for Gorn ships in FASA as wel.

Now that's again a nice ship :eek:Quote:

Also, given the facility type, and the backstory, I made this 'Pearl Harbor' instead of 'Pearl'.. made more sense.

The warp gemoetry on that has got to be a mess. The Aztec class at least had the warp drive on top of the unit
Yeah, seriously.Quote:

Aztec class had the bridge and warp pylon up in front of the drydock (hood ornament effect), leading the rest of the dock
To be honest, I've always liked the Klingon version more...I just cannot remember it's name at the moment...Murph maybe...
Cool thread, nice work on the ships... Just browsed for threads I, II & III, but all the pics seem to have gone from I & II, any chance of a peek at them?
IIRC, isn't this the one on the FASA SRM that 'folded'?Quote:

Thoughts?
IIRC, the orgiginal FASA version did fold up for transport.Quote:

Scorpio Type Corvette
Drawn to scale with shuttlecraft
Hate this ship. Hate the design. Hate the scaling issues. Hate the detailing issues. Hate that this is nothing like a Starfleet ships, particularly for the era it's supposed to be in... No hatch (big enough) to get in, no impulse system, no warp system, no viewable weapon ports (at this scale, it's a must)... etc
Utterly bizzare piece of crap all around.
Did what I could with it, but I hate this turkey.

This wasn't meant as critisism, you're doing a wonderful job here. :DQuote:
