Decipoher is working to reestablish the approvals relationship with Viacom/Paramount

Actually, Nickelodeon - Viacom recently dissolved the marketing/licensing arms of all its subsidiaries except Nickelodeon, and made it the marketing/licensing arm for all Viacom properties.

Yep. Which is why the relationship had to be redeveloped. Scott indicated though that the Nickolodeon folks now in place are apparently Trek fans, so this might work in Decipher's advantage (eventually... :rolleyes:)

I'll bite, Doug. Please name the RPG Studio staff still on the payroll working on RPG products. Or name their staff of full-time writers and/or developer working on the RPG products.

The assumption was "Fan sumissions [sic] save them the bother of putting a professional RPG writer on the payroll." As it stands, the plan is to, once the situation with Viacom/Paramount/Nickolodeon is resolved, release the previously developed properties and (if sales warrant it) then look into producing new products, which would entail hiring new RGP Studio staff.

Whether this is good business model or not is beyond my purview. But as I've said, the above was an assumption.

Would any former Trek staff put up with Decipher again? What's Hite doing now (I believe he is no longer working for SJG...)

I don't know if they could scrounge up any good new blood, but I guess I'll like anything they come up with.

Yet you quoted the first part of his statement as well, "Even if they wanted to revive the line, they don't have anyone left in the RPG division to do so."

Fact or assumption?

If you took issue with that one statement then that's where you should have directed your ire.
