SS Chameleon Type Courier/Light Cargo Ship (Civilian)
One of FASA's 'lost' designs from the first edition of the RPG. This was supposedly a ship that Cyrano Jones stole, which would be strikingly out of character for him...
Drawn to shuttlecraft scale, with only a few minor tweaks on the two 'official' views. Basically replaced the 'canopy' with a shuttlecraft body, just to give it better base lines.

USS Halsey Class Destroyer
By fan request... erm.. forgot exactly who it was now. Obviously heavily Andor influenced, with the rolled in engines and the 'pontoons' on the outsides.

These are great TFV, i've browsed the pics that are on the posts here, have you ever done anything with the ROM or Klingon suppliments? I'd love to see your take on the V-7 Whitewind or the S-4 Swift Wing from the ROM.
Also, slipping back to the mobile drydocks, i was looking through the Klingon book again, the repair dock in there looks much neater than the fed one, plus, it's transit mode definitly looks like it has a more stable warp geometry, a centralised nacelle, would love to see hat you do with that one as well :)
Cheers again.
Gorn Frigate (SFB)
Fit of originality! Basically, this is a mod of the Gorn Destroyer, adding the 'oblong' hull piece (from some of the minis), and modifying the wings and tail slightly.

The Romulan one is going to be next, and I'll likely hammer out a lot of the TOS ships first, and try to 'normalize' things a bit with them (similar engines, etc) before moving to the Klingon-borne designs.Quote:

Can't be much left to the Fed SRM... the cutters, the warpshuttles, and that weird spherical monitor? Uglypalooza!
Hey, I've always liked that weird spherical monitor.Quote:

Ah you mean something like this (Sorry TFV, I've had this for about 10 years now)
Okay, yeah, actuallky that kind of makes sense.
The other ones are still problematic.
Even though I did start my crew out on a Solar-Class Cutter.
About the Scorpio... I'd always thought (especially from the pics on the 2nd Ed. SRM) that the warp and/or impulse engines were internal in the ship's butt.
USS Leonidas Class Destroyer
An old request sitting on my hard drive, and, sadly, I forget who did this one. If anything, this is a take on a misconception of the Monoceros class, made into a destroyer.. but I dunno.
Basically, this is the Saladin with the warp engine above it instead of below. Can't really see any benefit of the change other than design asthetic, perhaps done later to replace a couple of lost Saladins or something... Same armament, etc...

"We were gonna build more Dreadnoughts, but then the budget ran dry, leaving us with a dozen half-built primary hulls with one warp engine already in place... viola!" ;)
You know, now that you said that... I wonder if that's not just a crib from the Federation class to begin with. Would make sense, considering...Quote:

USS Detroyat Class Heavy Destroyer
One of the 'classic' fan-designs out there. This version is based on the Polar Lights modification kit from Starship Modeller. And, yes, it's another one that's been sitting on my hard drive for far, far too long.

Sparrowhawk Type Battlecrusier
Gods, the SFB miniature for this is silly looking (my wife actually laughed at it). I decided to attempt to 'mate' the design with the TOS Bird of Prey and start going from there. Not really happy with it, and it will likely get a redraw before I knock it into a compilation.

USS Washington Class Heavy Carrier
This is just a retouch, fixing a really stupid error, and also standardizing the shuttlebays a bit more with the other ships of the era.

USS Sussex Class Carrier
Just a retouch, standardizing a few pieces and cleaning up some lines.

I kinda like it, actually. The top view still has the look of the sparrowhawk, and the side view looks like a good amalgam of old and new. The only problem I see with it is that it looks more than a little flat from the front view. Something there needs to be changed, I just couldn't tell you what.
Otherwise, I think it's one of the better versions of the sparrowhawk. Personally, I've never cared for the design from SFB either. I felt that not only did it look funny, but it was such a vast departure from previous ship design as to make it non-Romulan. Sadly I haven't seen too many people attempt to make it better while still keeping the general "feel" of the ship. I think you did well in your attempt, TFVanguard.

I think I like it, too.
Is anyone else not seeing the images?
Yes, they have dissapeared for me too, must be a server problem?!
I'm not even seeing the image in Aslan's signature.
Alex
Sorries! I'm moving everything around while I get a new gallery set up for my web-page. Shouldn't be any later than the end of the week, and everything will be up again. :S
Yeah that is cause I suspended my account with my webhosting for a bit due to cost overruns :)Quote:

TFVan, looking foward to seeing the ships I still haven't seen :)
So these images ever coming back? :)
Most of them you can, in fact, find at www.pixelsagas.com. That's where I found them.
"Invalid query: Table 'pixelsag_pixeldb.phpbb_topics' doesn't exist"
Nope no luck there
That's just a broken news piece, which I need to do /something/ with.Quote:

Neale, is there any chance of you getting some of your non-Starfleet vessels into a gallery? I'd really like to get a good look at the Tal Shaia again, for instance, and that's one of the images that's broken. Thanks.
Bumping this and hoping TFVanguard still populates these forums. All the images are broken here, TFV, and not all of the ships are in galleries on pixelsagas. I use these as part of my screensaver, and several are missing. Could I convince you, if you're still here, to fix the image links or put the missing ships up in a gallery somewhere so I could download them?
This message repeats across all the threads of TFV's images; just trying really hard to get his attention.
I'm not dead. :)
Most of the Trek stuff is being moved - slowly, over to www.jaynz.info . So things are returning, just in a more dedicated forum, and very slowly as I get things going.
"Not dead" is good. We like "not dead".
