Okay - so what's the difference between those two? I can't spot anything! :(
Hint: Look next to Waldo. :)
There's one key difference between the two classes...
I know.
Well, I do think that you redesigned the Charger very well.
HEY! Who took a bite out of my starship?Quote:

Actually, the 'notch' is a happy medium between that I would consider asthetically sensible and what is offered out there in other fanon designs (Akyazi) and some of DS9's and FC's designs.
Mileage varies, of course, but I think the 'armed notch' like this gives it some 'agressive' character while not undermining the saucer's basic design advantage.
Oh, like that's ever stopped us before....Quote:

Which didn't come out right, but I'm not saying things to well tonight anyway. Perhaps when I look at it again tomorrow, I'll be able to word it better. (This does not speak well for my ability with words tonight, and considering that's how I spend a lot of my time, it makes me worry....)

Ticonderoga Class Cruiser

That Tico is a WEIRD looking ship. So sleek from the front and top, so huge and clunky from the side. What inspired it?
It's a FASA Stardate design, so I can't really say where it came from. :S
Weirdly, i think the ascension looks better to me than that belknap or the federation-class themselves.

Oh, and, tenth page... so this thread is done.. I'll make another. :)
Wow, I had no idea that that was what it was originally going to look like.
Where did you find this out?
The original pics started circulating as far back as the old Starlog magazine from TWOk's release. Since then, there's been quite a few redraws of the ship.
The Thyella was one of those unnammed 'spare parts' fan projects that I found some time ago. It wasn't complete or anything, and so I just finished her up and put her together.
Well, I kinda like it. I think I'm going to do something with it...perhaps re-stat my King's Protector as a size 5 and use this one as the visual. Dunno. Will figure it out later.
Thanks to TFVanguard I have my next ship if I ever can get a game going again. Take the two ships I like most and shmush them together and I get the Star Voyager-class Starship. I don't have stats yet, just highlights, but I'll be working on some stats soon.
Not too clear on thier history yet. I'm thinking they were an upgraded Miranda intended to provide a long-range ship capable of replacing the Enterprise-class, but they experienced the same issues which would be encountered with the Constellation-class (which was a completely new design; thinking a from scratch build would solve some of the problems that the Miranda spaceframe was not up to handling in the Star Voyager variant).

USS Farscape (NCC-1973)
A very not-bad looking ship; let us know what you come up with stat-wise when the time comes. If it's a CODA ship, send it on and I'll post it on BTFF.
Thank-you.
I have the CODA books (given me by a friend of a friend), but I'm not familiar with CODA so it will be ICON/SD. If anyone familiar with CODA wanted to do a conversion for BTFF I'd have no problem.
I have a much better picture of the class than this one posted here (for some reason it wouldn't let me post a jpeg--kept saying not a supported file type), which would be much better if making an appearance in BTFF.
I'd be willing to have a crack at it for you
Okay. Sounds like a plan. I'll get the ICON/SD stats done as soon as I can and post them to a new thread (don't want to hijack this one by posting stats to it). If you want, once you've got the CODA stats I can pdf them with the nicer pic for BTFF. Um, I guess I should find out if that's the preferred method of submissions, PGoodman13 any preferance?
As for why thre are no stats today, see my next post below. :D
A few years back I found a nice Loknar-class variant on line. Lost my copy of the picture (I have an embedded copy on a pdf which isn't very useful) and I can't find the ship anywhere on line.
So, thanks to TFVanguard I now have a new picture of it.
Well, that's a nice collection you have going there. I've always wanted to do something with the TrekRPGNet Shipyard like what you have going there. Adding stats for as yet undone ships and adding pics to all the ships (such as those made by TFVanguard!).
Afraid I won't be able to produce a pdf that fancy;but it looks like from some of those ships somaticon submitted he'll be more than capable himself. So once I get the ICON/SD stats together I'll have to get him the better pic of the class to use for the BTFF submission.
Um, which leads to the question: somaticon which stats will you need for your conversion or will you be needing both?
Sorry for the misunderstanding. . .I see how my posts now were rather misleading. I was thanking and giving credit to TFVanguard for making it possible for me to make my own ships. By using his previous works and aids I was able to paste these two ships toghether using my computers paint program. But hay, maybe he'll see there is interest and activity in this thread and stop by himself with a design or two [fingers crossed]. :DQuote:
