Or an American.
I've now seen the citizenship test you have to take.
Out of the 100 available questions I answered 94 correctly. How many American citizens can claim that?

The reason being is any given third-world school teaches more to it's students than an American school. English schools no doubt are far and away better than thier american counterparts. For example, what was the starting date of World War Two? 1939 or 1941?
We're too busy trying to cover our asses and not offend any of the 99,999,999,999,999,999 special intrest groups out there.
And 1939. But thats a common misconception amongst Americans. A bit like believing the Churchil actually asked the Americans to join the War in Europe. Admittedly we were very very glad you did but we never asked.
In truth when Japan declared war on the US, as an aly of Japan Hitler also declared war on the USA - and started rounding up all the Americans in Europe too!. The only response the USA could do was to come over and essentially shout "come on then!"

What gets me is the lack of appreciation the Americans have for Britain's involvement in the war.Quote:

Intresting to thing that we'd have been at war with Hitler on our own by 1942 if the Japs hadn't have attacked.
See, Uboats were parked right off our coast sinking our ships and attacking our naval ships. In fact there was one incident that almost directly led to war but things got smooved over.
We cracked Enigma in 1939 and when the American Intelligence service were having problems cracking the Japanese version of Enigma (and they had ten times the resources our intel service had) we helped them by sending them the blueprints for Turing's computer which they then used to break the code using the same crib methodology that we'd developed three years earlier. Is that mentioned in the American history books?
But I digress.

"No." is a perfectly valid answer! :)
And "I'm winning" is a perfectly valid statement, too!
If wildly inaccurate.Quote:
