So what do people think about Enterprise? The New Series?
I have to tell you that so far that I am not that too impressed. The show has such potential and yet i find it wanting.
For example, During the premiere it showed a Klingon, on the Earth, and Humans had a chance to study it. If this is the case then why doesn't Dr. McCoy know the Klingon Anatomy in ST6? In TOS Kronos was far away, but it appers it's with in travel distance 100 years before Kirk. Also KLingons are BAD ASSES!!!!! THe Enterprise do not in my opinon do the mighty Klingon Empire Justice, it makes them more like roaming Space Dogs.
The Show is set in 2151, well in 2156 there is the first Earth & Romulan War, where the face of the enemy is not seen? Are they going to pull that off? They'll have to if the show is going to run it's standard 7 year course. Also the formation is in 2161 ten years from now, if we are to see the creatation of the Federation then i think that the show will have to be extended a bit huh?
The Uniforms look like rejects from the 4th season of Deep Space NIne, and the SHip looks like the Akeria CLass ship that makes it's apperance in ST8.
The two things that I do like, is the sense that it's all them, and that's it. THere is no starfleet or Federation to the rest -Q if they get in a fix it's all up to them to fix it. I also like the Human/Vulcan relations, to see it streached a little is a bit fun, and a new take. I like that.
I also am very excited to see the Andorians Appearing next week, so I chimmed in on what i think then.
well that's about
thanks for listing to my random thoughts.

TECHNICALLY ... OOH, I LOVE THIS WORD!

Vulcan intervention. After all, it was Dr. Phlox that was treating the injured Klingon, despite help from human medical technicians.

According to Braga, he has to. Can't ignore this piece of history. Although I do suspect they'll allow us -- the audience -- to view the Romulans, but they'll remain hidden to Starfleet and Vulcan.
Hmm. I wonder if Vulcans may have a role in the war.

The uniform is the first real uniform I have seen to date. Complete with zippers. The others were too unrealistic to me, either they have to change pants with the pockets for tricorders and/or phasers to something more skintight WITHOUT any pockets.
And TECHNICALLY (ooh, I got goosebumps!), while top view would make the NX-01 and Akira an exact clone, from the side view they are very, very different. Take it from me, the techie Trek freak.
While I am still not a fan of Braga yet, so far so good (although the past episode was a bit of a snooze). And like you, I am anticipating the next episode spotlighting the first encounter with Andorians.

Is it following the time line? I would say for the most part, yes. Didn't one of the producers say something a mounting to 'well do our best, but we can't be perfect'?
As for the series, I like it. It has parts I didn't care for (such as the klingon appearence in Unexpected) but I still think it's good.

Watch the ep again...It was T'POL who "called in the marker". Archer didn't know what the heck was going on;he went along because he was trusting that SHE did.
What bothered me about THAT was that T'pol made Archer look weak by jumping in like that. OK, he didn't know enough about Klingons to play the "favor" card. Whose fault is that? The VULCANS'! Yet another example of them holding back important information.
This is the area of Enterprise that is least appealing...the combination of high-handedness and backstabbing that the Vulcans are up to (Though to be honest, I'd always assumed that there'd be a "dark side" to the Vulcans...I even worked it into my campaign.)
