I'm a private pilot. I prefer Piper aircraft, but the name "Piper" has too many other meanings. (One who plays bagpipes, for instance.)
Captain Alex Blake was an NPC in my FASA Next Gen campaign (back when he was a newly minted Lt Jg security officer concurrent with first season). I used him as a XO (Cmdr) and romantic interest in a PBEM I ran about 4 years ago. When I bought the Lug books about 6 months ago, I converted him over and gave him a promotion (officer attrition thanks to the war).
YOU HAVEN'T EARNED THE RIGHT TO ASK ME ABOUT MY NAME, SO ASSUME THE POSITION AND GIMME TWENTY! http://www.trekrpg.net/Board/ubb/biggrin.gif
Cessna, what kind of Pipers do you like? I used to own a '50 PA-20 Pacer. Classic fabric-covered taildragger with four seats and a 125 hp O-290. Jeez, I wish I hadn't had to sell it. http://www.trekrpg.net/Board/ubb/frown.gif

I used to use the handle "Breschau of Livonia" back in the dark ages of BBS-ing. That comes from an incredibly obscure Sandman character who refused to leave Hell when Lucifer was closing shop.
My original handle out here was HughBorg. My real name is the one you see. http://www.trekrpg.net/Board/ubb/smile.gif
The day that "I, Borg" first aired, I got a TON of phone calls from friends saying "WE ARE HUGH"! It's very cool to have a Trek character named after you. http://www.trekrpg.net/Board/ubb/biggrin.gif

My personal favorite is the PA28-181 with the 180hp engine. I flew them a lot when I lived in California. I still have a soft-spot for Archers and Warriors.
Now that I'm living in Colorado, I wouldn't fly anything less than a Cessna 182 with a Turbo - the air is just too thin for anything less.

Lee Troyer is the name of one of my favorite character I played for years (in Star Wars WEG). I was already using it as my nick for every computer games I played.
When I had first contact with this community on the famous #LUGtrek channel a year ago I naturally typed "Lee Troyer" in the nick box of the java applet on former LUG site. BUT the name was too long it was written as "Lee_Troy" and I didn't wanted the Troy nick to be mixed with some ST characters and I reduced it to Lee T.
When I joined this forum I wanted to be recognised by my chatroom friends and used the same nick.
End of story http://www.trekrpg.net/Board/ubb/smile.gif .
P.S: I would like to thank for my first net birthday all the guys on #LUGtrek who, a year ago, welcomed the french guy and explained him all about the net and gave him plenty of advice regarding trek stuff on the webb.

Got my handle from the song Anarchy Bob at the Mayo Clinic from Boris The Sprinkler's album, 8 Testicled Pogo Machine.
How's that for obscure? http://www.trekrpg.net/Board/ubb/smile.gif
It happens to be my real first name (minus 2 r's and 2 y's), and the name I used in Excite chat/Talk city when I was there.

Well my real name is Sigmund Seldan and I was knighted 5 years ago! http://www.trekrpg.net/Board/ubb/biggrin.gif
Well I do have a NPC/PC named SIRSIG aka Sigmund Seldan.
But actually SIG is a contraction of my sirname (Sigley) and became my nickname way back when I was knee high to a grasshopper.
So the SIG has stuck so much that its my name in most regards except official stuff. Heck even my parents and mates families call me SIG. Well perhaps not my parents all the time http://www.trekrpg.net/Board/ubb/smile.gif
And the Sir was a natural addition.... http://www.trekrpg.net/Board/ubb/biggrin.gif

My nick should be fairly obvious -- I don't like to do anything just like everyone else does.
When I put up my Webzine for it's first (and so far only) issue a year ago, I called it Gamethyme. The tagline was, "Add some flavor to your game."
We even had a Gamer Cooking Column ... because that's part of the Greater Gaming Experience.
(It's still up, BTW, http://www.foxfyre.net/gamethyme )
Currently, I'm re-working the page, and will eventually upload a whole lotta stuff.
Or so I keep telling myself.

Aedh Rua is my Celtic Pagan name, and has been since 1992. It is pronounced AY-uh
ROO-uh, and means something like "red flame". It is the name I use all over the net, particularly on Pagan pages.
Here, of course, it is just my name, and has little to do with religion. Except insofar as one could call gaming a second religion of mine (grin), or a Saytannick Plott too Unnermine Amerkuh's Yooth.

Slan agat!
Mine is pretty simple. I've been working on a novel for quite some time now and when working on it, I needed the name for the main character. So, I picked up the name book I own (a baby name book is perfect for making up character and NPC names) and started flipping through it. I came across the name Talon and just thought it sounded cool. I then needed to think of a last name and came up with Kane. Lo and behold, Talon Kane. ::shrugs::
I can see that some of us get attached to characters we've played.
Mine is the Klingon character I got to play when I was actually allowed to be a player. http://www.trekrpg.net/Board/ubb/smile.gif Always prefered the Klingon Battlecruisers and Mark Lenard's Klingon from TMP sealed the deal. http://www.trekrpg.net/Board/ubb/smile.gif
Kaiddin survived an assassination attempt 5 seconds into the very first episode we ran by a fellow PC. Obviously destined for greatness. http://www.trekrpg.net/Board/ubb/wink.gif {He was kinda modeled after Koloth with just a bit of Kang thrown in. http://www.trekrpg.net/Board/ubb/smile.gif }

The name sort of comes from two sources; I have a tendency to "sneak" up on people without really trying, I just sorta appear. Also, when I was into the computer flight sims the F-4F Phantom was my favourite.
What can I say my mother loved C.S. Lewis when I was a kid. I use Aslan as a stage and pen name now, though you will find me listed in the Internet Movie Database as Alan LeGros

AslanC,
Thought so. Thats the Narnia Chronicles isn't?
Ok, Aslan was the Lion (I believe), so where does the "C" come from?
Don't look at me; it was my parents' idea. I just haven't saved the cash to legally change it to "Michael Philip Bonnnnngggggg."

Qerlin was the name of a martian NPC I really liked in Space:1889. She's due to make a reappearance in the current Castle Falkenstein campaign once the ether travels begin.

Keny comes from South Park. Hwen my first character was (more or less heroically) shot by a Romulan disruptor, the others shouted "Oh my god! They killed Keny!" This was the beginning of a new nickname era.
Suda is a misspelling of Suder, the psycho-killer-Betazoid. I wanted my character to be a far descendant, without the Hannibal affinities.
Careful, long! But that's the aim of the topic, isn't it? I've got to compensate for the Pauls and Roxbys http://www.trekrpg.net/Board/ubb/wink.gif.
Calcoran Lorthol ... first character at WahammerRPG ... there was a random elven names generator in one of the supplements. Died a horrible death at the hands of a few stupidly mutated chaos warriors (Me:"did you just say 7 attacks?!?" GM:"That's for the first one."). I kinda liked the name, so when we started a new warhammer campaign (the imperial campaign), I decided I would recreate a similar character (distant cousin I suppose).
This one became quite mythical among our group of players. It was the pisses-you-off-as-soon-as-you-try-to-do-something-even-remotely-unethical-but-saves-your-but-in-the-end kind (think Carrot if you've read some Discworld books) ... I had never played such a lawful character before, now that was fun (helps to have a pretty combat oriented character).
At about the same time, we started to develop an internet (IRC) strategy game à la masters of magic (without the graphics): Akeran ... so I used Calcoran as a nick too. (Please do ask me about Akeran! We're lacking a bit of players for the V3, what with the unfair competition of everquest and such http://www.trekrpg.net/Board/ubb/wink.gif )
Actually, the nick I use in computer games is usually Obi Wan (comes from a pun on my name (French) Benoit -> Ben Hoit -> Obi Wan Ben Hoit) ... but I thought the name would be ill advised on a Trek forum, so I prefered Calcoran.
There, you know it all now.
P.S.: Querlin do tell us about your Space89 / Castle Falkenstein crossover. I've been thinking about doing one for some time but didn't find the opportunity. Question: How do you send a Sidhe (sp?) in space ooops ether? There seems to be a small metal problem.

I debated a bit as to whether I should stop posting for a while to see this 100th post a bit longer ... but I couldn't resitist, so here is the 101th. http://www.trekrpg.net/Board/ubb/wink.gif
Very interesting so far. personnally I loved the Narnia Chronicles, I just happened to stuble upon one of them @ the library and started reading. Furthermore, in the late 80's and early 90's PBS had a series on air of several of the books, starting with the first one (the lion, the witch, and the Wardrobe (if I'm not mistaken)). However, my favorite character comes from the last book, the Voyages of the Dawn Rider (? Don't remember the exact name of the ship). he was the little rat night, starts with an R.
But my name?
Very simple. My full name is James Andress L Udan, L is actually ment to stand for Lipumano (my moms maiden name), however this is my legal name. Thus JALU. The three comes from the fact that until I got my CADR (California Drivers License) I refered to myself as James Udan III due to the fact that I'm the third James in a row in my fathers linage. So that kept even after I discovered my legal name.
Another way to look at it is that I'm the Third Generation 'American' for as you may well know the Philippines was a US Commonwealth from 1898 until 1947. So when my grandfather was born back in the PI he was already a citizen. But now the three has just been kept on due to the fact that I use to use it.
Furthermore my Email address is the same, JALU3@hotmail.com; I have had that email since 1997 or so . . .

Mine is for the Captain of my Post DS-9 game. Julius Delacour.
Im going to have to go with the Birth Certificate bunch myself...
But then again I have such a rare surname that previously taken names for email address is not a huge factor, and so have always been able to go by my own name...
Besides Im an ego-maniac and want the whole world to know my name. http://www.trekrpg.net/Board/ubb/wink.gif

Actually, it was the first thing that came to mind. And by the way Phantom, the F-4 has been a long time favorite of mine (the muscle car of fighters so to speak).
I am the first of two children.
Hence my designation.
My real name is Magnus Lundgren. So I just used that. I often use McAngus on the net. Something some friends started to call me after Braveheart. That name kind of stuck in my mind. But it didn't feelt right for this sight, and I was out of inspiration at the moment... http://www.trekrpg.net/Board/ubb/smile.gif
