Star Trek: Lexington Pilot Summary Online

With Season 2 just around the corner, I have decided to try and get Season 1's episode sumamries up and done.

Gonna dedicate some time this holiday season to it :)

But that said the Pilot episode (2 parter) is up for perusal.

This summary is almost a cut & paste job from one of my player's group write-up. Only slight details have been changed to make it fit out 1st Season Continuity.

As these progress, I will become more and more the writer of them as the player who used to take the most complete notes in history had to drop the game due to work. :(

Feedback always welcomed :)

And if you feel like you are walking into the middle of the story, you are. Sorry about that, perhaps a primer will be made somewhere down the road.

Hey not too bad a start. Very detailed summary for a cut and paste hack job.

BTW I've been meaning to ask but I always forget, but did your friend Mike was it, steal the name of Anthony Stocker from Star Fleet Battles, if I recall he was the CO of the Lexington in the Star Fleet Battles universe made a name for himself ambushing Romulans. Isn't life ironic.:)

Anyway I notice that you had a two-parter which presumably screws around with Endgame, can't wait to see how you resolved that screwed up episode.

Yes indeed Captain Stocker is based on the SFB Character.

You see in the old days of FASA, we played ourselves as Star Trek Characters, but as we got older we decided to change that, so Captain Mike Masella, became Captain Anthony J Stocker.

Just like his Xo Commander Alan LeGros became Commander Joseph Reese.

Since I never played SFB at that time, I had no idea who Stocker was. By the time I found out, we had played for so long that I just didn't care anymore :)

Then who am I to crticise, I've used SFB characters from time to time myself, including the Kirk of the SFB universe, Captain Philip Kosnett. One epsiode featured the infamous Orion pirate Deth O'kay and the Hammerfield and lets not forget the Klingon Admiral Ardak Kumerian my answer to Kor Kang and Koloth.

In fact I'm preparing a scenario based on the classic SFB scenairo Leviathan (sort of a Doomsday Machine) but where the PCs will have to cooperate with their enemies to defeat it.

Actually Daniel "Deth" Okay is his lontime nemesis as well so the SFB copyright infringment never stops ;)

Hey is anyon else not getting a scroll bar on the episode 2 pop up?

For some reason it ain't doing it on PCs with no problems on MACs...weirdness.

I had the problem with the scroll bar, too. I got in by doing a right-click on the link and choosing 'open in new window. That way the scroll bar showed up as it should.

BTW Zymmer, I realy like your site and the campaign stuff you put there.

Are they in the "Computer Core"? All I get there is an "under construction" message

If you are referring to "A Fool's Errand Pt II," then no I have a scroll bar.

While I haven't checked episode 4, yet, I say keep it on your site. I'd go there anyway, to have a look at the character information, while reading the adventures.

Speaking of the crew, ever thought about marking the characters as PC or NPC in your 'crew manifest'?

I thought about it and then decided against it.

At the start of every episode summary there is a list of the PCs involved. Those are only the PCs and not the NPCs.

I figure my PCs are the "stars" of the show as it were :)

Actually I wasn't talking about the characters listed in each episode, but about the list "Officers of the USS Lexington" in thew "Characters" section of your site. These aren't all PCs, are they?


P.S.: If the statistics on the board are working as they should, this is post 10,000 in the Narrator's Ready Room section of the forum. :D :)

Actually the write ups is one of the places where I break the masquerade as it were of this being a game. For that reason I only mark the PCs in the write-ups. I don't think it really matters either way, so I have chosen this way :)

Finally figured out what the problem was.

You have some really good stuff here, from what I have read so far...Though I only get a white screen with Obligation, it may just be a slow DL. Probably should be able to read it later.

Wish I lived near, you seem to run one mean game. :)

Thanks for the kind words, Obligations was my least favorite episode so far, poor planing on my part to be honest.

But right after it comes Flying Dutchman, and that was one of my favs :)

As for my mean game, some of my players might agree with you on that one, they have this theory that I am out to make their characters lives hell, fun, but hell.

I have no idea :)

As for the blank page, I am having a similar problem, must be my server...grrrrr...dang cheap ass web hoster, acting up like that all night :(

Sorry to hear you're alone over the holidays Zymmer, well Merry Christmas I've enjoyed the mission logs so far, I can't wait to see how you changed the end of VOY, I hope it was much better than TV (well anything would be better than TV).

Your efforts make me wish I had the time and the energy to write up my own stuff.

Ghosty, the end of Voyager is only slightly changed, but doesn't have any time traveling uber-tech. Just careful use of three ships, one of the Cardassian, followed by a fight to rival Wolf 359 and First Contact. :)

Robert, but its the name of a legend...the ghost ship...the ship that just kinda you know....appears....I suppose I could have called it the "Marie Celeste", but LUG kinda beat me to it...oh well ;)

That's all I wanted to hear, no deus ex machina uber-tech. Looking forward to reading it. May experiment with my own version some time in the future...

I realize I am making an assessment based on an edit "after action report", but why do you think that "Obligations" was such a bad ep? Seemed interesting from what I read.

Ghosty: Well I look forward to any ideas you have :) As for my Endgame Redux, more fo a fight and less cheapo :)

Phantom: Well I guess it was disjointed and poorly prepared. I paniced and jumped the story ahead too far and then had to undo it. I always hate doing stuff like that :(

I'll reserve judgment until I see the rest. At least for the moment there isn't a deus ex machina of a future Admiral Janeway coming back to save everyone's butts.

And nor will there be.

Part two isn't very deep.

Mostly the fleet at Earth assembling to respond to the transwarp conduit opening.

Borg cube, big fight, three ships are orders off to close the conduit (Lexington, Exeter and Thunderchild).

Exeter gets tanked, Thunderchild knocked off line and LExington facing the corridor with a possible 12 more cubes coming through.

Then Voyager and Farscape come ripping through at high warp, spin on an axis and the three ships use there nav deflectors tro collapse the conduit.

Oh and there is a boarding action on the Lex by the Borg.

Like I say, not very deep :)
