The Star trek RPG...
HAS SHOWN UP...
on Decipher's website....
::does happy dance::
Glad to see the info on the site! :)
I'll be holding out for the limited edition, but I'll look forward to reading everyone's reviews here.
(All my disposable fundage will be used on April 23, when the SW: Episode II products hit the stores.)
I'm pleased to see that Narrator's get the "Forces of Evil" cover.
And believe it or not, they linked from the front page
I like the covers. They chose decent pics of all the captains, and an interesting collection of villains on the NG. Khan, baby! :p
-- Daniel
Fitting, isn't it? Hehehehee
(I do like that shade of red...maybe the Narrator's screen will be that color.)
Didn't see Archer on the front cover...
No doubt due to the fact that 'Enterprise' is still currently airing.
I wonder if Decipher will wait until the series run has ended before producing RPG material for Enterprise?
DC
I really doubt Decipher will wait 7 years to publish something on ENT. Give it a couple years, and they'll release a sourcebook or somesuch (vaguely worded so as to avoid future contradictions, of course). :)
To completely butcher one of my favourite Worf quotes...
"I am a merry man!!" :D
Cool! And the Narrator guide is due for May too... my, this will be a happy (and expensive but WTH :D ) spring.
Now I hope Decipher planned a worldwide distribution, otherwise I'm gonna be... er ... disturbed (putting it mildly). I don't like to order books (so much nicer to walk in an actual store - besides, if I start ordering things, I'll lose the last reason I got to go out and try to find what life looks like ;))
Oops I'm rambling :o. Sorry, must be the shock :p
Now all I have to do is get to Battlezone
If anyone can help me out, reply on the referring thread with a street address. Thanks :)
I recognize the Picard and Sisko pics
The Kirk one I saw on a website
Noooooooooooo Archer!
gooooood stuff!
it will be interesting to see what the OTHER covers look like
Enterprise....The Final Blech
Vaguely worded...then why come out with it at alll?
noooo way will they wait 6 years to come out with a supplement
will it be better than FASA's TNG?
[Dataspeak]
YES!!! *fist gesture*
[/Dataspeak]
[Cartmanspeak]
I will do the german dance, it's fun and gay and tra-la-laaaa...
[/Cartmanspeak]
Okey, this means (assuming my old distributor doesn't muck it up) that I'll be getting it in the first week or so of May. I think.
I can live with that.
Early orders get filled first, right? I placed MY order with Westfield back in Oct 2001...
Hmmm ... The way Enterprise's ratings are lately, Decipher might decide to wait until the series ends for a supplement, and they only have to wait a couple of years ...
I hear the LA office got actual copies of the book Fed Exed to them today. I hear they look really sweet. I hear I'm getting mine FedExed to me soon. I hear the sounds of groaning from the fans. =)
Seriously, I knew Decipher would wait until things were well along the path to the books being printed before starting the information flow. Finished books are beginning to roll off the presses, and information is more available.
Coolness. I'll keep on the lookout as well. :DQuote:

Question for the Decipher guys:
My friend David Henderson (who some may know for running the Psi Phi website) is updating his Star Trek books database (keep in mind, this keeps track of most books Trek nowadays, including RPG stuff). I was trying to get the names of whom from the Decipher staff is credited with authorship of the Players Guide. Can I get a list of who all has their name on the PG? Thanks.
By the way, for the page with the Decipher Trek RPG stuff, check out http://www.psiphi.org/cgi/upc-db/res...t=RPG&start=20

STRANGE ALIEN LIFEFORM DETECTED, CAPTAIN! IT APPEARS TO FEED OFF THE RADIOACTIVE ENERGY OF DECIPHER PRESS RELEASES!
Okay, back to my normal state of insanity :)
The covers are interesting. I love how the Narrators Guide gets the bad guys! (I hope players don't get the wrong impression, though. We Narrators are only about 3/4 as evil as we're cracked up to be.) Only problem is that my local game store usually doesn't get anything I actually would be interested in buying until about a month after the official release date...:(
Speak for yourself..... I'll have you know I'm twice as evil as I'm cracked up to be :DQuote:

Damn, those books look nice. Soon they will be mine. Oh yes.
I am evil incartante just ask any of my players, I love the dream session even as the first session. I pulled at one in a one-one and everything that could go did go wrong and more. I even put the ship in the middle of the romulan empire by one of their main shipyards, with a powerless M/ARA. That was fun just to watch her when I say 'You wake and realise you that final command exam this morning.'
Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Me? I'm just cracked...Quote:

ehershman - put in an advance order with your FLGS! That way, you know they'll be there!
Which I still heartily recommend to anyone who wants the books asap!

You also have to show your superiority in the evil laugh. Hard to explain in text, just something one learns from years of experience in being an evil narrator.
A pity that players tend to avoid evil narrators... :p
I keep mine chained in the dungeon. There is no escape. BWWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOAHHHHHHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH AHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!! :DQuote:

You also have to master the art of looking totally deadpan at your players and saying in a freakily foreboding tone of voice, "Are you sure you want to do that?"
I was correct. My copy of the Star Trek RPG Player's Guide was FedExed to me today. I have a copy in all its glorious full color goodness in my hands. =)
The book exists, and it should be on shelves within the next two weeks (maybe even shorter).
Happy. Jealous. Happy. Jealous. Happy. Jealous. Happy.

Hey Ross, any chance you could swing over to the other side of the Potomac and come to my office and let me just...see the book? :)

no one could figure out how it add lasted sooooooooo long cuz the ratings were BAD think worse than TOS's

"We are The Borg. You will be Assimilated. Resistance is Futile. We will add your distankivence to our own."
We understand you're insane.
You really don't have to prove it in every post.
Really.
If you're not careful, people will start mistaking you for Gene "Time Cube" Ray.
Then you'll be screwed, and not even in a nice way.
Wouldn't like to post me your copy would ya?Quote:

See the Trek Today News Item on the new RPG.

Never ask if they're sure (unless they came up with a good plan), just smile knowingly...
Nearly two decades of being an evil gamemaster. :D
Any news on a price on this stuff? I can't seem to find that anywhere.
Also, will Diamond Dist. honor their orders from waaaaaaay back when on this stuff?
Ris, you have comment?
My local game store says both books will be $29.75 US. No doubt prices may vary in other areas :)Quote:

There was never any doubt. (At least as far as I'm concerned.) ;)Quote:
