Star Trek: Lexington; Season 2 (Long)
OKay so I have begun laying down the framework for Season 2 of my series. Using mostly ideas from LUG Books, the Tactical Section here and the Adventure Seeds thread with a little modifications.
The first half of the season sees a heavy Romulan influence, as they will be along the Romulan border, but after that they move around at liberty like the Entreprise in TNG.
Here is the first list;
1 "All in the Family" - With Bringloidi Engineer Casey killed in the 2nd to last episode of last season, the crew returns her body to her family and discovers something amiss in this Dave Biggins classic.
2 Fragile Peace Part 1 "Aiding and Abetting" - From the LUG Campign Book.
3 ???
4 "Enter Chimera" - Another great adventure by Dave Biggins, with Romulans, Iconian portals and a Changeling no less.
5 ???
6 Fragile Peace Part 2 "Marie Celestial" - From the LUG Campign Book.
7 "Dark Reflections" - A return to the Mirror Universe last seen in last season's finale "Through The Looking Glass".
8 "Conquest's Tools" - Modification of the Dave Biggins adventure about Romulan & Terran decendants still fighitng an age old war.
9 ???
10 Fragile Peace Part 3 "Blinded by Science" - From the LUG Campign Book.
11 ???
12 "Echoes of Faded Glory" - Dave Biggins returns with another episode involving Romulans and ancient technology gone arwy.
13 ???
14 Fragile Peace Part 4 "Armistice" - From the LUG Campign Book.
15 ???
16 "Honour Bound" - Based on the idea by ComaBoy, the Lexington comes across a derelict Ferengi ship and a mysterious glowing object..."Don't nibble my toes..."
17 "What Price Freedom?" - By Dan Gurden, the Lexington puts in for repairs at an alien station and discovers the workers are prisoners...and some of them see the Lexington as a way to freedom.
18 "Gates of Sto'vo'Kor!" - By Trinity Zeldis...The Lexington is to travel deep into Klinon Space to investigate the loss of contact with a joint Klingon/Federation Archelogical team. (Modified)
19 "Time, and Time Again" - Based on an amalgamation of "Underdogs" by Dan Gurden and "A Time for Exploration" by Lancer. In this adventure, the players will put their normal characters aside and play lower decks characters returning from a shore leave. They discover the ship locked in the temporal loop...will these juniour officers save the day?
20 "The Prime Directive Syndrome" - A modification of Ghosty's adventure seed, in this one the Starfleet Captain is rescued ala "ST III" as they head to stop some major catastrophe that will befall a pre-warp culture...the Lexington is ordered to intercept and stop them.
21 ???
22 "Dangerous Find" - By Julius...I am gonna modify this one, but not sure what alien race to use, may stick with Andorians. Perhaps Klingon, maybe Cardassian...but should prove fun http://www.trekrpg.net/Board/ubb/smile.gif
23 "A Clockwork Empire" - By Dan Stack, but where he used a mix of Deadlands tech with Space 1889, I intend to go mostly Space 1889/Squire of Gothos...but don't quote me on that http://www.trekrpg.net/Board/ubb/smile.gif Might turn out to be androids in the end...not sure.
24 "The Collector" - By mactavish. Modified...The basic holds true of the giant automated collector ship, but may be crewed by androids or something...not sure...but basic idea holds...
25 "Broken Mirror" - Round three of my Mirror Universe story as this time the ISS Lexington forces it's way into this universe and are on the hunt for the USS Lexington and her crew.
26 Season Finale, need to make it good...Maybe the Magna Roman angle here.
So this is the basic draft outline.
I have no two parters yet, though I may make "Broken Mirror" one and move it a bit earlier in the latter half of the season.
Any comments, ideas of imput would be most welcome...as I have always foudn these boards to be an excelent source of mature and intelligent narrator ideas...
Well except for Styro http://www.trekrpg.net/Board/ubb/wink.gif
Just kidding... http://www.trekrpg.net/Board/ubb/biggrin.gif

>"Magna Roma" Part 1 - Okay it needs a better title to be sure.
Maybe you should take something like 'Mare Nostrum'.
But you'll have to find some Roman/Latin word for 'starsystem'....

Does "Mare Nostrum" mean Nightmare?
>Does "Mare Nostrum" mean Nightmare?
No.... it means 'our sea', IIRC.
The Roman Empire controlled southern Europe and most of north Africa, so they considered the Mediteranian Sea to be 'their' sea.
Capice?

I am not sure if it's a good idea to have the ship allready in the loop when the PCs return. If done that way they will be able to scan the whole ship from the outside and get a lot of information early on.
When we ran that episode half the fun (for me that is) was watching the players stumble around the ship trying to figure out what the situation was and what options they had.
THE PRIME DIRECTIVE SYNDROME

One way I want to do it is have another PC play her older character who would be the Captain responsible...
But not sure...gonna flesh it out later :)
Will let you know jsut as soon as I do, but would involve relocating a primitve species or some such.
Just one comment though this is not a flame mail;).
It'll have to be a series of Prime Directive violations - the idea of the scenario was to show how ridiculous the Prime Directive but also that violating it like Kirk did on a regular basis might not be the best idea.
What should be made clear is that to violate the Prime Directive might save a society in the short run but in the long run might destroy it but in the long run, the damage caused to the society might destroy it too...

well, almost.
'astrii' means 'to commit one's self to'
I think you're looking for astri or astris.
and both stellis and astris are correct; it's a matter of subtle connotation. stellis is the plural of star; astris is also the plural of star, but it can also refer to a constellation.
So, it would be similar to the difference between 'the stars' and 'the heavens' in English.
A matter of poetry, really.
