1) I just put in a class 8 Impulse system, and changed it to a reactor. I figured something should be listed for a power source. :) Even though power distribution is no longer a rule.

2) Simple. I fudged a few things.;) The way I see it is they are external points for a ship to hook up with the station, not internal shuttle bays. I figured, given the size of the station, external docking ports (as there are no real rules for them, that I've seen) would be insignificant to overall space count.

Out of curiousity does the Starships book list disruptors weapons that are big enough for planetary defense. I seem to remember seeing somewhere a Type XX Planetary Defense Phaser Cannon.

Not it doesn't but it does have pretty scary stuff for the Romulans(well for pretty much everyone else as well). BTW, since you're perhaps an even bigger Romulan fan than I am (no small feat!) I think you'll really enjoy the little project Sea Tyger and I are working on right now ;) :D

No, you didn't miss the Traits :) - I have to PDF them, they were not written out at the time I put the sampler.

As for the table, I don't see what you are refering to... :confused: but the traits do expand on Prototype, Enhanced System and all. Is that what you were thinking about? ;)

1) Can't wait to see them.

2) It's the table you use to figure out the OV and Rel. for the weapons systems. The reason I ask is that I was thinking of using one of the weapons systems in your rule set, but then I remember the weapons I used are max'd out for Pen. already. So, I was wondering have they expanded the Pen. table to allow for more heavy weapons to be used on a platform?

Could someone post the ISBN for "Starships"? I might try and order it through Coles Books, I get 10% off there, I might actually be able to afford it there.

I'm curious why did you give the docking ports more space then docking bays? To me a port, which by your definition is simply a clasp with a some machinery attached to it, where as a bay is actually taking up space in the structure itself.

Wouldn't Docking Ports cost 2 and Docking Bays 2+size (I believe that was the size) be better?

Ok, I just did a little re-calculating for the Kaur'el Tennahrex Strategic Platform. Now, using mods, based on KWs rules, for Docking ports=2 space this adds another 100 space to approx. 263 that I originally had bringing the grand total (if I have figured correctly) to a size 31 structure with 155 hit points. Is there an upper limit to the size of a structure? I know this thing is hugh, but really.

Sorry I'm late in answering, I've been offline for while... I will answer your questions in turn:

1. Yes, the weapon table do expand the ones found in Starships. The systems insert themselves in the table according to availability date.

2. Docking ports cost more than shuttlebays because they are able to accomodate larger ships; that requires quite a machinery, from the space on the hull to the structures behind the port (for resupplying, structural integrity and all...). BTW I see you decided to buy Docking Ports at 2 space, they should be costing 8 (by my rules anyway :) )

3. As for the size of a structure, I'd say you're limited only to the verisimilitude of your concept (the same axiom that forbids you to pile up Type II phasers on a size 20 ship :) )

4. As a side note: your facility doesn't have orbital correctors, does that mean it's designed as an empty space facility? Because if it's in orbit, it will be very easy to have it crash in the celestial body it's orbiting.

To answer your 4th question;

I haven't been able to add them yet. :) It is one thing Im looking into.

I'll probably leave the docking ports at 2 pts (for the Strat. Platform any way) if I rmember the new size chart this thing is up to 10kms as is....Its freakin' hugh!:D Alot bigger then I had originally planned. Though The Remus High Port is very close to what I pictured. Have to still add a few things yet.
