Developed for an updated 2Xs Transwarp Fighter, the F-28 was the first to use the improved FMWC-1 Microwarp Engines, and carried enough emergency supplies to last it's pilot 3 days. They were highly useful in supplanting over a hundred older fighters, and in harrassing Talarian, Tholian, Cardassian and Tzenkethi ships in the 2350s.
